It's not hate as much as it is criticism of a nation. Hate is a very strong word, when you don't know the people here personally. I just wish all these threads that are basically all about 9/11 would disappear. I'm sick of them, they're full of the same..Deihjan
Well they don't criticize many other countries... except Israel of course...

Everyone seems to hate the US lately. Blah the economy sucks and US are the world police. blah blah blah. And this is mostly coming from Americans! I'm European but come one have some pride. There are far worse countries.. like Buthan or something.

It's all quite interesting, and the gist of it is understandable... but I can't seem to get past this part. Perhaps I am horribly misinformed, but how in the world did we starve the children of Iraq? Through the Iraqi sanctions after the Gulf War. After?

He seems to not like a lot more than just Israel. In that letter he says that he will continue to fight the US until we meet his demands - which include but are not limited to rejecting "the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling's, and trading with interest."I get that... some of his views are unreasonable. But I think the majority of the general Middle Eastern population does not like our meddling in their affairs. I think that is the main issue. Even the people over there who aren't extremists don't like our foreign policy. We could never and should never change our culture for other countries, but U.S. foreign policies are pretty bad, especially in the middle east. Putting myself in the shoes of those in the Middle East, I could see being angry at a country like the U.S. US should continue to support Israel though, that's not meddling with anyones affairs really in that sense. What is peculiar though is that they give $3billion to Israel and $12billion to its enemies.

Do you have that much knowledge about Kashmir, Chechnya and Somalia to make a valid judgement on this matter? And you do realize they where left alone pretty much resulting in women being treated much worse than animals.
