One of the most annoying parts of FFX was trudging the Thunder Plains. I've been playing FF2 on my iPod, what a pain in the arse it is going from town to town and just when you think you're there 'BATTLE!!!'. I'm looking forward to a streamlined apppoach. NPC's talked out of their ass and as for shops, you go press a button at a designated place and a menu comes up, will doing it at a save sphere be that hard to swallow? FF12 was the opposite and I hated it, the vast lands did my nuts in. If i want to run miles doing fack all I'll play Oblivion (which bored the hell out of me). A bit more pick up and playability is great for those with a job, girlfriends and other things to consume our time with.
I don't think I can play this game now its been scored an 8.5. Just play the freakin game, I think I'll enjoy the linear approach. Games have to change with the times and I imagine this will be great and even if I don't enjoy it that much I'll just trade it in for GOW3 the week after.

There's so many lame shooters out there I'm suprised this is even a contest with there being hardly any RPGs on the PS3 and FF likely to be palatable enough to enjoy.
Would not be interested in the slightest. Like someone stated previously Gaming..wait Real Gaming is to be played at home with visual and audio better than any hand-held can produce. Besides hand-helds are like the kid consoles in my opinion.

Microsoft is still getting their licensing fees for games to be made for the system. Lost live revenue, however, directly affects them, AND the developers since their DLC will now also face lost sales. Also, they did nothing to stop people from pirating games. At all. If anything they opened the door to piracy even further, because you can be sure that all the pissed off pirates who lost live will now go out of their way to screw microsoft out of sales. I would bet that they are now going to download even more games, because their modded consoles are still modded, but now the pressure to hide it from MS is gone. Sounds to me like it's free game (pardon the pun). Am I right here getting the impression that MS should be blase about pirated games and give the impression that anyone can get away with performing criminal acts with their console?
