I was curious until I played the demo, now I couldn't be less interested. What broke the deal for me was the hiding-behind-statues level which wouldn't recognise when I clearly got it right.
Where I live, there've been PSVita displays up in all the game shops and record shops, but no posters or TV spots. I don't know if people are asking about it in store.
Next to the other games, DQ6 really takes its time to get going. I'm currently at the first serious boss fight, so quite the way in, the changeable classes aren't yet available and no one has shown any real development (with the exception of Milly, who is just an idiot). Compare DQ4, where each character gets a whole lengthy introduction of their own, and DQ9, where you can recruit people immediately after your first ture moment of heroism.
The Wii U definitely won't exclusively connect to Origin for the simple matter that Dragon Quest 10 isn't going to use it.
Nintendo are holding an open vote on the cover art for The Last Story (http://microsite.nintendo-europe.com/pandoras-tower-the-last-story-cover/last_story.php?loc=enGB ) and Pandora's Tower (http://microsite.nintendo-europe.com/pandoras-tower-the-last-story-cover/pandoras_tower.php?loc=enGB ). Just choose your favourite and share it on Facebook or Twitter.
I chose the cathedral-esque design for Last Story. As for Pandora's Tower, I knew it was a bit bland with its environments but they couldn't even gives us four choices of cover art that weren't just 'two people standing in front of a tall building'?
What do you remember about Ace Attourney besides the internet meme? I bet you didn't even remember it was called that.
Don't doubt that this will be released in our language. You look at the numbers and more than half of Layton sales are from Europe, so Level 5 would not be smart to keep it in Japan. Then again, they apparently weren't smart enough to not release White Knight Chronicles in an unplayable state.
What is the point of hardcore RPGs? Surely an experience-based system is supposed to make a game moreaccessible by letting sane people see it through to the end without needing to spend half their clock learning the basics. I understand that completing a game should feel like a reward, but when the core principles of the workings of the game imply that there's an easy way out for beginners then why should it be them who suffer through it? And as for the two recent ones that seem to have come from absolutely nowhere, a challenge in an RPG should come from deciding how to use the mechanics to your advantage, not the mechanics themselves.
