My understandingis that anyone who loses their manuals clearly hates video games and wants them to die. Every time I open up a used game case and see those empty tabs adjacent to the game disc, I always have to think to myself, "Why? Why was your previous owner so abusive/neglectful?"

I mean, how hard is it to keep track of an instruction manual in the first place? It fits right in the case, and if you take it out it's probably because you need it, right?

You might want to google SARCASM when you get a chance. ;)

That was a decent attempt to "get me," though

Will you be judged for playing a DS? Short answer: yes. There is a certain crowd of people who see the DS as little more than a child's toy andwill never sway from their from-the-hip opinion that only kids play it(while conveniently overlooking the fact that most video gamersin general have always beenkids).

However, these people are ignorant. I'm 30 years old and in my opinion the DS is the best system to come out of this generation. Welcome to the fold.

If I get this game, it's not going to be until I can get it dirt cheap. This game definitely doesn't look like it's worth full price to me

They're not harder on games, you just don't agree with the scores they give. Everyone has a different opinion is all.

Raikoh_

No, they're harder on games in general. They hand out far fewerscores above 8 than, say, IGN.com.

They're not. Like I said, you just don't agree with their scores if they're low.

I think you're deliberately being obtuse. It's not a difference in opinion if it's a common and reliable trend. If you compare the top-rated games on GameSpot to the top-rated games on all other sites, you'll see that they're pretty much the same across the board. What's more isthat GameSpot's reviews list all the same pros and cons of the other sites. GameSpot, however, clearly grades their games based on a different (ie: more critical) criteria. A 9.0 game from IGN is roughly comparable to a 7.5 - 8.0 on GameSpot.

Conversely, I would say that IGN typically reviews their games a tad too generously. It's not so much a "difference of opinion" as it is understanding how the grading scales work on both sites.

Yeah, I had a subscription when I got theEDGE card from GameStop.

What a crappymagazine! I've never seen a publication more guilty of shameless overhyping, and it devoted way too much print to games that were one or two years away from release.

Although I love the DS, I've never loved any system (handheld or otherwise) as much as I loved the original Gameboy
