Yeah didn't think that the title would mislead people, it was kind of an accidental trap.

I'm sure it was, well on the EU PSN anyway, and I remember it was of the hack-and-slash type, like Lords of Shadow. I assume you've seen that trailer with Alucard, right? It's more recent, and well, the demo may have been revoked because it was too early for it, I don't know. I remember the hallways being completely empty, only some candles etc, it was inside the castle... I just remember images, it's been some years ago :/

ΕDIT:
Found some info on the net:

A short trailer was shown at the Tokyo Game Show 2008 that hinted at a new Castlevania in development. The trailer shows Alucard with glowing red eyes. The Japanese text reads "He wears with him a jet black darkness and a cursed bloodline. He betrayed his kind and destroyed his father. And with him is a blood stained fate." which could be hinting at Alucard being the main character of the game. He was also shown to use his blood to spawn a blood red rapier-type weapon, similar to the Rapier weapon that Shanoa is seen holding on the cover of the Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia boxart. However, with the announcement of Lords of Shadow as the next installment in the series and no further information on this trailer, the future of the project is unknown.

And here's the video the text's talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3u3oFjjiFo

I remember a Castlevania demo that I downloaded, on summer 2007 or 2008 I believe, that had Alucard as the playable character. It was fully 3D etc, but I remember only a bit of it. I recently checked the PS Store and it was removed, nowhere to be seen, but I remember it was named "Castlevania" and had Alucard, I remember his attire and hair. Anyone got any more information on this? Like, where is it now, why was it removed, who developed it etc?

Thanks a lot, I'll have some questions for sure when I start playing them :D

I'll need the guide for the crafting etc, for sure. My only complaint is Hector's appearance; Leon looks badass in his clothing, and Hector just not so badass. :(

As the title says, I finally got paid and I ordered those 2 great games. Can anyone name some significant gameplay differences between those 2? I mean, I know that in Lament of Innocence you play with the whip, while in Curse of Darkness with Hector's sword, but there's Trevor Mode where you play with Trevor Belmont and the whip.

I've only played Symphony of the Night and Lords of Shadow, finished them both, but I've read a lot about the other games' events, and the storyline etc. Which one should I start with? Lament of Innocence is the first chronologically, but maybe I'll get confuse? Also, any tips? I know about the Innocent Devils and that you can forge/craft some weapons by collecting the materials. What games are they similar to, in gameplay terms, so I can roughly estimate how to play them?

Anyway, I'm inexperienced on these two so I might sound like I'm asking stupid questions, and so I'm ending here. Anything that can helpme get a better grip on them is welcome. :D

I just bought this today, the Legacy Edition, and since it includes everything I think I'm ready to play online. Anyone still playing? I got a headset, I can speak English fluently, I stick to teamwork and I'm eager to play. My Gamertag is: CrashOkami
Feel free to add me :D

For 2010:

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, my personal game of the year.

Call of Duty Black Ops, now that the server issues got fixed I love it.

Sly Trilogy, nostalgic experience, fun to play on the PS3 again.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, innovative and fun online, but the story was not that great as the previous ones.

For 2011:

Killzone 3

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Mass Effect 3

My worst decision ever has to be Clash of the Titans. I returned it almost an hour after I bought it. The game was completely broken in every term you can think of that's representing a video game. Seriously, do a favor to yourselves and don't even look at its cover.

I got past Castlevania: Lords of Shadow's trials in IV, and I've done I-IV, VII, XII and I can't remember what else. After the trials, I'll replay on Paladin. Right now, chilling on Brotherhood online :D
