@dexda: One of the most popular features of the Wii U was the off-tv play on the gamepad because of other people using the TV. I'm pretty sure this will translate directly to the Switch.
@happyshow: We'll get more specs on the console, I'm sure. But if it seriously did nothing but act as a TV connector, it would be just a tiny little box or stand. The idea that it doesn't provide extra power is just ridiculous.
@BassMan: If it was just a portable that could be hooked up to a TV, they could just use a tiny dock with a power and hdmi out. You really think the console dock is just for show?
@larsondir82: It's not just a tablet, though. Did you not see the part about docking into a home console? The tablet is additional functionality to the console, not a subtraction.
@Barighm: They said the dock doesn't add anything other than a TV connection? Didn't think so. If that's all it was, for power and TV, you could just use something like the current gamepad dock. That's a ridiculous statement.
@cojuelodevil: I can see this as a downside, but I personally don't give a rip. I buy new consoles to play new games, and I love my old consoles on display, ready to play whenever I want.
