I'm sort of interested in the concept, would be nice to just walk into any casino and start gambling, doubt that's how it will work out in the end, but one can hope.

Kinda goes against normal marketing procedure. Think they may be stockpiling for the next price drop, but to say they're doing it for the sake of the customers doesn't make a lot of sense.

Really glad I bought mine, have had a lot of fun with it. Running out of games, but the same is true of my 360 right now, guess it's time to go outside... *sigh*

Not sure if people still play BF2, havn't fired it up in some time, but it usually takes a while for a large community to die off so I'd guess you wouldn't have trouble finding matches. As far as F.E.A.R. goes graphically, it's not that pretty, probably aged worse than just about any FPS I can think of, but it's still a great game to play.

Have yet to be able to connect any Windows live game to the windows live servers to play. Can connect fine through my 360, but my PC absolutely refuses to, which I find strange.

I found a lot of nice mods here, would recommend the texture pack 2.0 if you feel like downloading it (about 1.2 GB) really makes things look better, overall good game after all the mods that have been released.

Oh, and you have to scroll down a bit to find them, the first sections are just tools for creating mods.

This will probably turn into a hardware thread so you may want to go to the hardware forum and start another thread since this one will more-than-likely get locked or moved. If you write another make sure you put in your full system specs, can't really judge a problem without knowing what is in your system.

Yeah, was thinking the same.Following both Age of Conan and Warhammer Online at the moment. Does anyone have an opinion on which would be the better pick of the 2 and why?easyyy

Personally, I'd say WAR is looking like it will turn out to be the better of the two, and given how much money EA is throwing to Mythic it should feel like a complete game when it ships and have a lot of the PVP ready to go at launch. Same is probably true to AoC, but I doubt it will have a lot of the polish needed to differentiate a good game from a great one. And AoC and WAR look to be wanting to step in on WoWs PVP market since Blizzard has spent the majority of time since TBC making WoW into an arena only PVP game so I don't know if they'll have the type of mainstream appeal that WoW still has.

Another thing, I liked Dark Age of Camelot a lot more than Anarchy Online, so that's probably influencing my thoughts a good bit. I'm probably going to be playing AoC until WAR launches unless is really stinks, but I don't know if I'll stick with it after WAR comes along, I may just if WAR doesn't turn out as good as I'm hoping.

I've bought all my PS3 games used since Blu-ray disks don't seem to scratch at all (every game I've purchased has been flawless) or got them at really low prices on eBay. Think I'd feel a little cheated on a couple of games if I'd given full price for them, but I can't think of a single game for my 360 besides Mass Effect that I think I really got my $60 out of. Would throw in Oblivion, Bioshock and CoD4, but I played them on my PC instead, so I can't really comment on the console versions.

Oh, and I own 7 PS3 titles. Uncharted, R&C: Future, Folklore, Warhawk, Resistance, Heavenly Sword and Ninja Gaiden: Sigma. I think they're all good games and I had fun with all of them, but wasn't really blown away by any except for Uncharted.

Bioshock - Play it on the hardest setting.

Call of Duty 4 - Very, very, fun, but terribly linear, play on one of the harder settings to get the most out of it.

F.E.A.R. - Still would be worth a go I'd think, especially if you couldn't play it when it was released.

The Chronicles of Riddik: Escape from Butcher Bay - Really worth a shot if you never played it, not really a FPS, but still great.

Condemned: Criminal Origins - Combat is kind of slow in the first one, but a really creepy experience anyway.

Half-Life 2, Ep.1, Ep. 2 - Doesn't get much better than Half-Life, but a very linear experience again.

Crysis - Absolutely stunning if you can play it.

Far Cry - Free now (ad supported I believe) and still a pretty decent game.

Battlefield 2 or 2142 - Would recommend BF2 more, but both are great for some team based online shooting.

Unreal Tournament 3 - Very nice multiplayer suite, interface feels all consoley, but still a lot of fun when you finally get into a match.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines - Great game if you can look past the bugs, lots of community support has made it a much more stable game than when it first came along.

Petition for: The Darkness - Such a great game, it's a shame that it's restricted to consoles.

Really way to many to choose between, but I'd say to go with The Orange Box if you want the most bang for your buck, an absolute steal of a bundle, don't know why you don't already have it. :P
