The Forums! Grrr.....
by Cube_of_MooN on Comments
After last weeks's horrible glitching of the forums, I thought the problem would be fixed. However, it seems to be starting up again, as seen in the topics on the Tech Support board, though not to the extent as before. People can't edit their posts, report abuse, and something I've been getting is a white screen after I post. This is causing problems with double-posting and whatnot. At least the PMs are working. I sincerely hope Gamespot can get these forums in working order sooner or later, a breakdown every week gets rather annoying...

A Great Day for New England Sports

The Patriots won 49-28, blowing away the Dolphins. Brady threw 6 TD passes, five of them in the first half.
The Red Sox finished another improbable comeback when they beat the Indians in Game Seven of the ALCS.
A great, memorable day.

A Lesson I Learned Today
by Cube_of_MooN on Comments
I can now see the meaning of that old cliche "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time." (I now realize this isn't the correct wording, but the point remains.) After an argument I had with somebody, I tried to end it with what I thought was a relatively safe comment that would cleanly end things with no hurt feelings. The thing is, I ended up offending one person, and angering two others. I was even accused of having "problems." Well I apologized, which in turn generated an even greater negative response. Ah, the power of words. They can both heal and destroy. They can build hope and crush dreams. One or two omitted or misplaced words are the difference between offense and apology. In trying to please the group, I only offended it. Oh, and if this "someone" ever reads this, if I truly cared about nothing, why would I even bother apologizing? It seems like a waste of time to me. Oh well, as one bridge breaks another is made somewhere else, and I am curious to see where this new bridge will take me.
Oh. I just noticed the connection to this and the picture of my blog header... Strange how things like this work, isn't it?
