Was doing endurance race. Had to pause. When i came back accidently pushed restart instead of of continue. 3 hours wasted. It needs update to fix this. Like ask "are you sure". Like if you agree.
No doubt GT5 is beautiful, but you gotta think how much PRESSURE was on them from Sony to get this game out. It's unfortunate. A franchise like GT should have all the time it needs to make everything PERFECT. Despite that though, I'm sure they have done an amazing job (havn't played it yet)... but i'm sure they're prob tired as hell at the GT factory. lol ;P

Lol just imagine PD guys popping final copy into PS3 and testing as shipments being sent out. At which point they see the shadows. "Yeah we F'd up" LOLOLOLOLL
[QUOTE="CurryMcFlurry"][QUOTE="MrSelf-Destruct"]PS3 doesn't have the best shaders, I give you that, but saying a game that looks as crisp, clean, and realistic as GT5 is at the back of the pack in terms of graphics is ridiculous. I think you are being WAY too picky. MrSelf-Destruct
No I'm not. What PD have done is like .... chucking staircase shadows in GT5. That's how bad it is. I had to use GT5 in the Analogy.
Oh and don't ya dare say it's PS3 fault. It takes 5 years and $60,000,000 to produce a game with some of the worst shadows ever seen since PS1!!!.
I love the game once again. But PD needa fix this hideous blemish. And you know it's bad when you at times feel embarresed when others watch you play. Enough said.
Well, sir, I dare say: Its the PS3s fault. It has subpar shading capabilities. its noticeble in a lot of their games. Sure PD should have figured out a way to mask it as much as possible, but you can't erase a hardware limitation with software. Maybe they spent so much of the PS3s resources making the rest of the game look good that they couldn't spare anymore memory for the shadows. Maybe they weren't counting on people to be so nitpicky about it.Nit picky in the graphics section is quite possibly one of my traits especially since I play COMP games which are superior. However the issues I protest are clearly bad enough that simply googling around, you find many others feel the same. To sum up my thoughts is this should have set the benchmark for PS3 yet because of what can be sumed up as stair looking edges and bad aliasing. This stops it from being the benchmark PS3 title and more like a game that overall has the ported over feel in general. PS1 shadows. 800 PS2 cars. Less customisation. Amatuerish 2D scenery backdrops.
I love playing the game but for me PD ruined the immersion facotor. Im in. Im out. Im in. Im out.
P.S I don't gives a flying dingo when people say awwww your to fussy, because immersion is a personal preference and you people who attempt give degrading, uneducated responses when someone voices a issue are in essence a lingering troll manchild.

This isnt SW, go back to Forza and stop creating GT5 bashing threads, don't like it? don't play it.

Ahahahahaha ya might wanna read the bit where I say GT is like a family member to me. Unfortunatley this is significant problem. Now I love this game, but when you know it could have been so much more speaking in terms of immersion. Then yeah. I'm gonna bring the issue up hopefully getting the ball rolling on fixing the issue.
Now the second someone says "go back to Forza" then you know that person is a complete incompetent piece of flesh blinded by there own un-natural love for a product. AKA Fan Boy
Over 100+ hrs logged into GT5, and I can say in my experience, I really don't care that the shadows look wonky. Sure they are messed up, but that doesn't detract from my experience.

Well then I wish I had your resiliance. I just wish they gave us thee option to turn them off if that's even possible. It's obviously a problem for many, myself included. So PD. FIX IT. And if ya can't, make an official statment saying ya can't.
