I only saw one when I was on. They must have been vary limited time.

But its kinda odd. I overlooked this game so much. I did not even think it was a PS3 game "serious" till I saw that earlier on PSN. Its been a long while, since we had one of those games. A game that just came from nowhere. An did so around alot of other hyped games.



I guess PSM mag, gave it a 9 also. The mag wont be out till tomarrow, but thats what they have said.

Both suits were available last night 0.o I don't know. Still, nevermind the special ps3 suit - get the scorpion :) $2.50 ...eh well i can't justify the cost necessarily, but the new suit does make things a tad easier.

We concluded it was because you (Canadians) have some french influences. There is a 5$ penalty for having french cultural influences. Since this figure is not finite, it is in fact variable. It varies upon your countries currency value on the world market. Right now if you were french and living in the US you would receive a 10$ fine because the US dollar is weak. In Europe if you were french and living in France - your fine would be much higher since that is the country of origin - say 200$ US or 100 Euro.

I suspect that is due to the fact not everyone is french, so they are cutting some of you a break. Just not on that game. They're stickin it ya! That and that is a bilingual copy of Fallout 3 - a great game with some strange foreign language in it - instant penalty.

It's much like when you're playing Wipeout HD and you have the auto assist on - you receive a 10% speed penalty to your ships overall speed.

When you have a great game and you put french in it - well you receive a penalty, allbeit in the cost of the game.

The only thing that saved me from SOCOM was the fact I already have 2 FPS's and there are 2 more coming to the console very soon, R2 and FC2 - plus the fact that SOCOM is entirely online with absolutely no single player :(

I did get Dead Space - I recommend that highly, wonderful game. Very well done, EA actually made something great for a change!

I'm really enjoying this game. I am on chapter 6 and I see there are 6 more to go. I downloaded both new suits and must say the scorpion has a few nice features :) I don't see how I could possibly upgrade many things given the scarcity of power nodes. I also can't purchase too many since credits are scarce as well. Still, this game has a lot nice things going on. It reminds me a lot of the old Alien vs. Predator - like the one for Atari Jaguar - i loved that game, there hasn't been one like it since, very unique take on the Alien/Pred game - none have matched it. This resembles it.

I am glad they came out with a sci-fi horror game - not unlike Event Horizon it seems. Graphics, game play, weapons, suits, upgrades, trophies, long and engaging story, semi-linear play that isn't confusing - it pays to wonder around off the beaten blue path, look around, open doors - use those extra nodes to unlock doors - sometimes its more than worth it. Explore a little and you'll be rewarded, shoot - i got the collect 75 logs trophy already :) but I did get a lot of credits in the process.

If you haven't checked this game out yet, do so - it was worth the money. This is one game I have a feeling i'll be playing a second time through just to finish upgrading everything. What a nice unexpected hit to arrive mid october - looks like we Ps3 fans have a lot to look forward to!
