1080p is just too high of a resolution for the PS3 to keep at 30fps.

No it doesnt, it runs at 720p. As far as I know, Ratchet Future Tools is the only game to run 1080p. Oh, and its gonna be 1080i, but you cant tell the difference unless your tv is larger then 52".

Ummm.... this is the first time iv heard of a playstation over heating. Mine is on all the time, for days on end, and it doesnt have any problems (I got day after launch, so its not an age issue).

I say ps3, simple because its hardware blows away the xbox. It has Blu Ray, can run linux if you so wish, and it plays true hd games. Games on the xbox are just upconverted sd games.

I dunno, the ps3, for once, seems to be headed in the right direction shooter wise. The rpgs are coming though, Square Enix has a bunch em in the production line. Final Fantasy 13, versus 13, white knight story, Star Ocean 4 (i know its on the xbox first, but it will come to the ps3, there just isint a fan base over there), Kingdom Hearts 3 (when versus is done), dragon quest 9.

I dont think the rpgs are not going to show, their just pending.
