Silly peoples everywhere. the next xbox and PS4 won't have "far superior and advanced graphics" that would leave the Wii U in the dust. You guys do know that the PS2 was the best selling console of all time right? Well, the PS3 isn't doing to well as a successor to the "best selling console of all time" in regards to sales. Hmmm... What changed? Lets see:
PS1 - Weakest console compared to competitors. Sold most units compared to competitiors.
PS2 - Weakest console compared to competitors. Sold most units compared to competitiors.
PS3 - Strongest console compared to competitiors. Sold least units compared to competitiors.
Well damn.
Now don't you think it would make more sense for a revenue based company to desire sales which would turn into profit, then to sell a system at a loss?
So wouldn't it make more sense for Sony to emulate the success of there older consoles, by not aiming for the most technologically advanced unit, which they could sell for profit?
So in essence, the biggest gap between the Wii U and PS4/ the next Xbox would be similar to the gap between the PS2 and gamecube / 360.
Oh, but i forgot, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft are all people, not money loving companies, so they would do what we want, as gamers, even if that means losing money, droping stock, and going into the red. They're our friends remember!loosingENDS
Yes, that was the case with PS3
Though xbox 360 is a huge success and packs hardware as advanced as PS3, in fact runs games like Withcer 2 and Crysis 1-2 looking stunning
And is profitable for years now too
So, what reason does MS have for going underpowered ? I think they will just use the very best PC hardware at the time of release, like they did with 360 and was a huge success
And that would be far ahead of WiiU in specs
Oh yeah definitely. Microsoft doesn't care about losing money. They only care about how happy we are. They'll no doubt give us expensive technology for cheap prices effectively loosing billions. That'll put a smile on everyone's faces.
