My Grades Report

Well here are my grades from my most recent report:

 • English Language - A+
 • English Literature - A*
 • Mathematics - B
 • Film Studies - A*
 • Science 1 - C
 • Science 2 - C

So as you can see, I am good at scientifical thoughts and practise, I'm just not good at the stuff they gave us. Luckily science was only a supplementary, which means I don't have to do it any more. In english I've got an A+ and A* (second highest and highest marks respectively), in maths I'm on a B, this is only a part-time course and is not worth a qualification, so no worry, and in film studies I'm on an A* :D Cannes here I come!

Goodbye to You, GameSpot

... Is something I will not be saying for a while. I'm not leaving GameSpot despite alot of distinguished members leaving now that GS is becoming more commercial, but it's not the staffs fault, it's all CNET. But that being said, I'm sticking around.

Also, Super Mario Galaxy came in the post yesterday (6-2) and quite frankly, I'm shocked and saddened- no what's the word? Ah yes, delighted. Delighted that SMG is the greatest game I have played since Ocarina of Time and Oblivion. It surpasses Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Gears of War, Super Paper Mario, Assassin's Creed and WarioWare in every single way. The graphics are amazing, looking of 360 standard, which is extremely impressive because it's the Wii, not the most graphics driven console, but SMG proves that the Wii has the power. Also, today (7-2) MOH: Heroes 2 came in the post, after having it on pre-order since before Christmas. I haven't played the game, and won't be too fussed till I get a Zapper, as I wasn't expecting the game until it's ACTUAL UK release  Now, I'm just waiting for my Friday the 13th DVDs, Family Guy and Splinter Cell DA (Wii), and there are still Friday and Saturday for them to come, otherwise I'll have to wait till Monday or Tuesday, and I don't want to. But, in other news, I am off for a week, in conjunction with the school's going off for half-term, the college is closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, which are when all my cl@sses are :D So I'm still playing SMG, don't expect to see me on Xbox Live for a while.

I've also started a stat sig, to show how I'm doing in my quest for Princess Peach. I will update every 3 days. Look at that, nice clean numbers ending in 5's :D

EDIT: MOH Heroes 2 is SOOOOOOOO much better than Vanguard on Wii! The controls are quicker and sharper and the graphics are phenomenal!

3 New Wii Games, 4 Friday the 13th Films and Family Guy: Blue Harvest

So last night, I did some splurging for no reason, I bought a total of 8 items at a total cost of £64.01, and guess how much I have on my saving's card... £64.00! So I had to rummage through my furtniture in search of a sole penny, and truth be told, I found one, in my wallet :P So, what are the Wii games I ordered, your asking? No? Well I'll tell you anyway, they are:

 • Medal Of Honor: Heroes 2 Medal of Honour Heroes 2
 • On the ground that I like Medal of Honour and playing 32 player online.
 • Super Mario Galaxy Super Mario Galaxy
 • On the grounds that C'MON! It's Super friggin' Mario!
 • Splinter Cell: Double Agent Splinter Cell Double Agent
 • On the grounds that there are two different versions of SCDA, one for 360, PS3 and PC, and one for Wii and last-gen consoles, they tell the story differently, and since I don't own a last-gen console, this is the version I must purchase to see the other half of the story.

And the DVD's are, you ask? I'm sick of your attitude, I'm going to say anyway, even though it's in the title:

 • Friday The 13th Friday the 13th - Some idiots think this is the first "Jason" film. It's not. Jason is NOT the villain in this film, it's his mama. Before all the idiotic storylines were added in Part 5 onward, there was the initial madness storyline, which was better. How the hell can you get Jason X from this?? Well they did.
 • Friday The 13th: Part 2 Friday the 13th Part 2 - This one did feature Jason as the villain, but not in his signature hockey mask.
 • Friday The 13th: Part 3 Friday the 13th Part 3 - The first one to feature Jason clad in his, now famous, hockey mask.
 • Friday The 13th: Part 4 - The Final Chapter Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter - A misleading title, since 6 sequels would follow. This was the last film to feature the madness, and all following sequels would feature stupid and supernatural storylines that would all become one huge continuity error in the end.
 • I intend to purchase all other Friday the 13th Sequels, which include Parts 5 to 8, Jason Goes to Hell (Part 9, did not include the Friday the 13th title) and Jason X (the newest and biggest failure in the series).

And also, I bought

Family Guy: Blue Harvest (A New Hope Episode IV): Special Edition Family Guy: Blue Harvest: I own every single other Family Guy DVD, and I love Star Wars. The perfect buy!

I look forward to the post :D

Turning Point: What Went Horribly Wrong?

Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty: The demo has arisen on the Marketplace and has amassed much negative reception. Now, I like game's with some kind of flaw, I prefer to see game's in action rather than imagining a perfect game. Turning Point appeals to me more now that I've played the demo, but no amount of feet-seeing can overshadow the games massive flaws. Some will notice how remarkably similar the gameplay and graphics are to Hour of Victory. Guns are hard to aim, the controls feel confined, the graphics are grainy (but not necessarily bad) and some parts of the demo felt poorly designed. On the other hand, the grapple system is cool, using enemies as shields, environmental and instant kills among others and the story is quite intriguing. Hopefully, the developer's will improve on some of the demo's faults, though they have less than a month to do so unless there's a delay. Otherwise, it's Hour of Victory all over again. Still, I think I'll get the game anyway.

Also, I highly recommend buying Atonement on DVD, it's a brilliant film, as is Big Fish and Family Guy: Blue Harvest.

AtonementBig FishFamily Guy: Blue Harvest (A New Hope Episode IV): Special Edition

As for games, this week I have expressed interest in the following, which I will probably buy within the coming weeks:

TimeshiftEternal SonataPikmin (Players Choice)

I've been wanting these for a while, also, the following upcoming titles:

Dark Messiah: Might And Magic ElementsTurning Point: Fall Of LibertyMX vs ATV: Untamed

Also, I found the Devil May Cry 4 demo incredibly boring and will not be purchasing the game.

1080 Snowboarding and How I Learned to Stop Complaining and Love The Outfit

Well my Xbox may be offline, but my Wii isn't, thanks to built in Wi-fi (score one for the Wii), and hence I have been marauding the Wii Shop channel in search of new gameage. Not much new apart from 1080 Snowboarding, which I remember playing alot on my friend's 64 until SSX hit the slope. But any way, here is a screenshot to fill in space:

Meanwhile on my offline Xbox 360 I have been playing The Outfit, which my friend got last March, and until now I have seen The Outfit as a mediocre Mercenaries clone, despite playing it at my friend's alot. The game is very good and fun and the story, while not brilliant, is very involving and cathartic. I suggest buying the game if you see it for £9.99 (what I bought it for).

Also, here are the latest boxarts :D

JumperLost: The Video GameTom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2Football Manager 2008Sega Superstars TennisUniverse At War: Earth Assault

While the RSV2 boxart is most likely not final, I still have to say it's pretty bad :P

GameSpot's Endless Ocean Review

*sigh* Americans cannot appreciate games that don't have car chases or guns. Endless Ocean is much better than the review makes out. Though we did get the game last year. YEAH! I don't care about the review, since I've had the game since release. GameSpot says there's not much variety, well that's the life of a marinologist, but that's ok, what I am outraged by is that they said it has a weak story. Weak story!? There is no major story to the game, simply a series of events that lead you to discovering underwater ruins and fillinf up aquariums. Just because your too impatient to discover the best parts of the game, doesn't mean the game is boring.

7.0? Nah, 9.0 is more like it. No I'm not an outraged fanboy like those that were "outraged" by the Fire Emblem on Wii, but the game is better than the review says. You Americans may have got it later, but it's still one of the best games on Wii.

Internet is Busted, R.I.P. Heath Ledger, New Bond Film Name = Rubbish

Well, my internet is dead, so I won't be on XBL for about a week, and I will only be on GS when I'm on the laptop as everything has had to be shifted. Since you can't see my updated GamerTag, the game I got was The Outfit. I'd played it aplenty before, but now I realise why the game is awesome. Since I can't play over XBL I'm gonna have friends play over split-screen as I've never played online on it before. Also, on Monday, my Xbox got the RRoD twice, but still works fine. I'm holding out for this one (my third box), and if this breaks and my forth one does, I'm getting back my deposit for a PS3 (with any luck, this will never happen). Since I've been unable to post my updates I'll just some up my next few buys, DMMM:E (still), TimeShift, SMG and No More Heroes (9.0 Woo! I Knew it would!). So yeah, won't be on MSN or XBL for a while.

:(

But yeah, FINALLY a new emblem! I know everyone who voted in the Reader's Choice got it, but I'm happy I finally got one after weeks of struggling with the stupid video uploader.

:)

Overall: :( No emblem can make my internet problem not hurt.

Also, if you haven't heard (how can you not have??!) Heath Ledger (Knight's Tale, Brokeback Mountain, The Dark Knight and more) has died aged 28 after an alledged drug overdose through prescription. Knight's Tale was the first DVD I ever bought and when I see The Dark Knight, I shall think of all the great things he's done.

R.I.P. Heath Ledger ,April 4, 1979 - January 22, 2008.

Also, if you haven't heard, the new 007 film will be called Quantum of Solace. I hate it. And it appears quite a few people do too.

Boobs in Kane and Lynch!

DIMANICUS' Weekly Games Fix

Ah you randy boyz :P

You don't seem to be commenting on my blogs so I've decided to spice it up by fooling you. So basically, right, ladies and gentlemen, whenever a new boxart is revealed/posted I shall post it ( I have an obsession with boxarts). Nothing really NEW this week, only:

 • Battle For The Pacific (History Channel) Yup, it's coming to Europe
WILL NOT BUY!
• The Spiderwick Chronicles A good book series, read them all instead of Harry Potter 5, but will the film/game be any good? I don't think so.

SO yesterday I read the preview of Condemned 2: Bloodshot's online multiplayer, and I have to say, it's even better than I expected, though lacking the maniacal surgery mode I was hoping for :P, and it has now become my number 2 want (after DMMM:E, and when it finally comes out ). Currently, my top 5 consists of:

 • 1. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements (despite 360 Magazine calling it "Evil Jesus of Strife and Tragic: Smelements")
 • 2. Condemned 2: Bloodshot
 • 3. Super Mario Galaxy
 • 4. TimeShift
 • 5. Pikmin
 • This list is extremely volatile and can change at ANY MOMENT! You'll see. I'll show all of you!
 • So rlly, I don't have anything else to talk about, except that I have an interview tomorrow and I'm really nervous :? and also I ordered a game on Saturday, but I shalln't say what game it is. It's on 360 and it's not new. I got it for £9.99. Let's see if you can guess before it comes.
