Lengh should be proportionate to the story, pacing and the developers vision, so there isn't a specific length games, regardless of genre, should meet. Would Portal have been a better game if it were stretched out to 10+ hours? Of course not. Conversely just because you can sink 200+ hours into Oblivion doesn't mean it's a good game.
