That's dope by itself but I'm just excited about all the people Kanye is working with. Premo, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, RZA AND Madlib. It's like he's trying to do a complete 180 and keep it as hip-hop as possible (bringing out an MPC at the MTV Awards?) after going autotune on 808's and Heartbreak yeah, i've noticed this too. i just read that it's been confirmed that Pete Rock has a beat on the Kanye/Jay-Z EP coming out, and Jay's never worked with Pete during his whole career until now. I was surprised that he's working with pete, premo, and rza, but madlib!? i didn't even think kanye knew who madlib was...
sorry to resurrect a semi-old thread, but has anybody heard Rain in England or MF Based yet? Rain in England is B's ambient, spoken word album and its pretty damn good. It may be hard to listen to for most, but if you really listen to his words on these songs they are extremely extremely deep MF Based is a mixtape of based freestyles, and B dedicated the tape to MF DOOM. haven't heard this one yet, but it has my favorite cover art of the year:
