Yeah, because treatment of mental illness wouldn't be a better solution. And catching it early in life before a person can commit a crime against a child is totally worse than waiting until the child is scarred for life and getting the ability as a society to PUNISH THEM. F*CK YEAH!

You are too ideal in your suggested solution. How does one "catch it early in life?" That is, how are people to diagnose a Pedophile unless he/she were to go into an institution and check themselves in? Even if they were, how do we go on to rehabilitate and treat them? The same way the Rabbis, Sheikhs, and priests "treat" homosexuality?

You are putting yourself in an infinite regression. You state that it is not an opinion, therefore that implies it is a fact or at least a more acceptable truth. And for that to be accepted, it needs proof. Yet, you provide none by which case it is your opinion that stating a correlation between homosexuality and pedophilia is an opinion.

5 simple ways to ward off Aussiepet threads 1. Do not in ANY circumstance provoke it to react in ANY way that would lead to the creation of a thread. (Possible risk) 2. Ignore its posts no matter how idiotic they may seem. 3. Accept its picture as a legitimate representation of whatever may be behind the user profile. 4. When in doubt, avoid confrontation to circumvent any possibility of a reply from Aussiepet. (I am at risk here) 5. Install several software pieces as necessary that may help with blocking posts.

Of course it's a bad thing but I do admit we're way too strict about it. Having feelings towards a 16 year old does not make you a pedophile in my honest opinion.

That is not pedophilia. There is a different term for attraction to different age groups. Pedophilia is attraction to a lower aged group than just 16.
