You made it sound like the devs are evil/idiots and will release a worse version than the one they gave the reviewer just for kicks (worst case scenario it's a newer patch which the players will get immediately). I shouldn't have to point out the ridiculousness of that theory.

Looks like Total War is back to its high quality roots. Excellent.

It's pretty much what people expected/wanted from a modern Doom game, this had 8 critic average score written all over it, about as predictable as it gets when it comes to scoring. Looking forward to playing it when my PC can handle it.

It actually performs as advertised, that's impressive.

This is an enjoyable marketing disaster for CoD. But unfortunately all the dudebros and 12 year olds will still buy the damn thing. Sigh.
