yeah I was hyped up for the Wii, I was enthralled by the graphics and gameplay of red steel and imagining how awesome Zelda and Metroid would be with the new controller that I waited 18 hours over the span of two days dealing with a creepy old dude who kept talking about how Linux was God's gift to man and how his imaginary grandchildren would love the system but when I got it I drove like a maniac an hour to my house to play, and for about four or five months, I was happy, I kept hearing about all the games coming out and how some graphics look great and didnt mind the horrible the graphics were and there were times where I truly felt like I was in the game, the Godfather and Red Steel were the two games that made me feel really immersed, but then I got sick of it, I got the component cables, nothing, Im not a graphics whore but there were some games where the bad graphics were insanely distracting and for about three months I only used it to go online when the computer was taken. I played Gears of War at a friends house and I was hooked adn totally enthralled for it, a few weeks later I bought my own 360 with Gears of War and Oblivion and havent touched the Wii since. I been too busy playing Halo online and enthralled by the immersive stories andworlds of Mass Effect and Bioshock, and I dont miss the Wii, I dont hate it, games are meant to be enjoyed, and if you like the wii, great, but to me the controller started to feel like a gimmick and I felt embarrased by some of the games I bought so that I would hava something to play on the wii (the godfather, call of duty 3, madden especially) but Im glad I switched, the 360 hasnt broke down on me since I got it about 8 months ago and its great. just my two cents

My gamespot is for the most part pretty cool, they gave us free drinks on the Halo 3 midnight release and got a DJ, which was weird since most of the people there were dudes, and dudes who couldnt dance... or liked the music they were playing, either way it was the thought that counted, but, there's this long haired british dude who always looks down on people for not getting RPG's, that's my only complaint, I cant really blame them though, most of the people that go in there are casuals, or clueless parents, and one time I went in there the employee had to say "No, we dont have an Wii's in stock today," over and over for a good 20 minutes, and he stayed polite about it throughout, same cant be said about the shoppers, though. I've encountered the needs-games-more-than-soap guy, the pokemon kids, the comment guy, but that's not the employee's fault,yo, and there are other places to shop.

I thought the campaign was great, it has some awesome moments, taking down a scarab, a full on dogfight, taking down dropships, defeating the brutes with the hammer, finishing "Cortana," all were stand out moments in an aweomse campaign, the first level that takes on place on the Halo was epic all the way through, I just thought the story was too vague for the unintiated, bur for those who knew the story, I'm pretty sure they were pleased. And on top of all that, the multiplayer is awesome, making videos of pwning foo's, and re-created world war two battles on forge make Halo one of the best values this side of the orange box, its just awesome, I think you need to try all the features to before you can say it was a let down
