Hey i was looking through all these topics we had in 28 pages, and i was actually looking for that that topic where it was really crazy with fs metal and some other guy, and then KC wrote a big note at the end of the topic saying that no one should dare post after her.

So I'm pretty excited for Dragon Age tomorrow (yes I know it's been out in the US for 3 days already, lucky bastards).

I was not aware that I had been missing for any significant amount of time, I still read all the posts I just don't reply sometimes. 

Um, I went to the NFL Wembley game on Sunday and saw the Patriots batter the Bucs.  I also went to the MCM Expo since I was in London anyway so I pretty much traversed the whole of London that day (though the whole journey was underground).

And I know like 4 lessons worth of Japanese.  I guess that should keep you up to date with the exciting life of Darmi.

a little off topic with windows 7 (sorry stuie :P ), windows 7 has something called XP Mode, that as you well said, emulates WinXP, the problem is that this will be only available to the Professional and Ultimate versions of Win7... so, well, that's all :)Poltergeist86

Windows XP mode is a virtual machine set up to use Windows XP.  This means you are essentially running a program which is pretending to be a computer and then installing Windows XP on that "computer" (I could post a screenshot of that if you don't understand).  Because the virtual machine is sharing the resources with the processor, it is pretty inefficient and I would never try to play games on it (though FF8 is probably old enough that it won't matter). I have also had problems running fullscreen games on it as the resolution of the machine is controlled by the window size in Win7 - the game (think it was Fallout) tries to change the resolution and can't so it crashes.

However, once you have installed a program on the virtual machine you can run it in Windows 7 without needing the virtual machine running.  I do not know how well this works with games as I have never tried it but Windows XP Mozilla Firefox seemed speedy enough on Windows 7...

In conclusion...FF8 might work on Windows 7.  I don't have my copy to test with me.

If yours is better than mine then sure.  If I could have afternoons off and nothing from 5-6pm then I can get into polyphasic sleep but noooo this term I have ONE 5pm lecture and that ruins everything.

Not yet. If it continues, I'll get it checked out Friday so A) I won't miss any 9 weeks exams, B)I won't have to do the lame "Cadet of the Month" inspection, and C) three day weekend!

Oh man next term my timetable is so spaced out that I essentially have no classes on Wednesdays or Thursdays - dual weekends!  I cannot wait.
