because when i played gears on my friends hdtv the framerate was really sluggish and weird, and the graphics barely improved, even tho i keep hearing how much better it looks on hdtv, maybe its cuz of my friends tv...but it was a samsung tv...
but right now i prefer my sdtv, framerate is great and the graphics are just as good chewy130
Well...to be honest, the type of telivision has absolutely nothing to do with the framerate. It's the graphics processor in the machine itself. The TV just displays the activity that the console is putting out. If the framerate gets chuggy, then it's most certainly the game and console.
yo PS3 fanboys! last 2000/1 PS2 launch, was the reception the same, lots of craziness, ranting, displeasure, criticism and talking against PS2 like what we've seen with PS3? was it more humane or much worst than now. tnx.

wtf did you just say?? Haha! You took the words right out of my mouth. Dear god, this guy sounds like one of those pop up ads or something. PS3 LAUNCH!!! ONLY NOW!!! SUPER FUN!!! CRITICISM!!! DID IT LIVE UP TO THE HYPE!?!?! Anyways, not to poke fun, but I guess what he wants us to do is compare the PS2 launch to the PS3 launch. For me, I'd say it's no different, at least so far. It's a new console with different features, but I waited quite a while to pick up a PS2 because of the lack of them in all the stores. Sound familiar? And I heard news reports of them being sold on Ebay for thousands of dollars...hmmmm.. So I guess history repeats itself :P
I would say that I can wait for the HD-DVD era for a little bit longer. Personally, I believe that standard DVDs work just fine on my HDTV.
Secondly, I'm going to wait for the good games to actually come out for the PS3 and purchase a console when it is in greater quantities at the stores, some of the bugs have been fixed from the first wave (whatever they may be, there's always a few), and possibly when the price has dropped. We'll see though. As great as a PS3 sounds, I'd rather not spend 600 dollars, or even 500 dollars for a console right now.
