The Crash Bandicoot and Jak games. Naughty Dog just has had AWFUL music in all of their games (haven't played Uncharted ... yet).

I agree that Advent rising had an amazing soundtrack but I still think my favorite is Harry Gregson-Williams's score for MGS2.Uberbadassmufuh

Advent Rising (well, I kinda liked the game too) did have a great HALF of a score. The back half almost seemed like a different production. But the action cues are among the best I've listened to, especially in-game.

Kameo has an AMAZING score if you like orchestrated music. Seriously, I've gone on and on about it before, so I won't start up again, but definitely check it.

I'm curious about Lair and Heavenly Sword, as I've been impressed by what I've heard. And Halo 3, which I also have listened to recently, was VERY impressive. In fact it impressed more than in game, because it has an often somber tone to it. So a listen away from the game lets you in on a lot of nuances in its composition.

Game music is great for gamers and sometimes for non-gamers too.

Wow. This thread is kinda crazy to me.

I didn't get the MS Wireless Adapter. I bought a Linksys Wireless Gaming Adapter WGA54G years back and it works fantastic. For the record I do have Road Runner and my connection is very fast, but I haven't had a problem with lag at all without some preventable issue (downloading huge files on your PC at the same time is not a good idea). The best thing is that the gaming adapter I got was a lot cheaper than the MS one (I paid $60 on a BB sale).

I'm sure that there is some cliched business strategical reason for the silence, but MGS should at least let us know WHEN we can expect to see more news/info/screens/vids/demonstrations of the games that have already been announced (such as Alan Wake, Banjo 3, Halo Wars, etc) but have not been shown in along time or ever. That would give us something to look forward to. Right now its just silence and its still coming.

Mine has worked since day 1. Of course the 3 year warranty ends this year so I'm worried it will fail after the warranty expires.JediA_basic

I have that fear too, as my launch console has worked as flawlessly as any console I've owned. My Best Buy warranty has already expired and I was hoping it would've broken so that I could get the new HDMI version, but to no avail. Its invincible as long as its under warranty. :|

I was thinking September or October, because with GeoW2 being the dominant release of November why would MGS release another high profile first party release to compete with that AND a number of 3rd party releases too? And I chose October over September because, since we have not seen anything yet, October is the lastest month I think it would be released.

Lets just say everything here is a rumor

Oh well, maybe some of it comes true.

For the record, I laughed at that.

You like statistics? Well the chances of you dying in a fiery car crash on your way to work or school today are FAR higher than you getting the RRoD. So yeah, like NND1 said, jump in.

Sounds interesting. Link?

I'm expecting a lot of games this year to be revealed in this kind of fashion. There are too many games that need/deserve unique attention instead of the drowning tsunami known as E3. Games like this, Alan Wake and others are better served by focused demonstrations without the distractions of 50 other deserving games.

Most Devs are keeping games underwraps to build hype. They can pop out of nowhere and show the world huge vids and screens any day now. There's still plenty of time left so it seems realistic to me how the timeframe is turning out. I'm actually looking foward to Banjo Kazooie 3. Xbox 360 needs a great platformer.Elann2008

I actually kinda dig it. I am so sick of MGS4 vids. Its actually made the wait for the game far worse than it needed to be. More devs should wait until 9 months before launch to reveal what they have coming.

And I disagree with your last statement. The 360 needs SEVERAL great platformers. It'd help the image of the system and ... well, I love platformers! :D
