The 360 isnt selling poorly in America.Have you been living under a rock the past 6 months??? the past 6 months PS3 has steadily increased sales in US, and now past two months surpassing 360 even in US. Crushing it in Japan and Europe. And now the 360 cant even beat PS3 in the US according to NPD. I cant imagine why anyone would pay $350 + $60 for live = $410 on the PS3 you pay $399 you get internet play free forever plus a blueray player. And if you didnt notice about a month ago most companies said they will be programming there games around ps3 now and porting to 360. 360 needs to lower that price, Lost odyssey and Blue Dragon flopped,, FF13 is going to dominate them also. Price needs to be lowered.

Since when was last place not considered selling poorly?? 360 is now dominated by Wii and PS3 not only worldwide but in america. A price drop needs to happen and fast.
[QUOTE="teebeenz"][QUOTE="ArsenicA"]wut about america?digitalman42
Dominated? No need for hyperbole. Based on the 'always reliable' VGChartz, the PS3 has been outselling the 360 worldwide about 25k on average this year. The Wii a lot higher, but that's compared to both. But the PS3 has not been dominating the 360. Not hardly.
And as much as some want to talk about how much the PS3 is outselling the 360 in Europe, the same could be said in reverse in NA. Japan is the real region were PS3 is maintaining its current WW sales lead over the 360, but Japan is just not a big console market anymore (PS3 is selling less than 20k a week again there).
I'm curious as to how this cut pans out, because 'cheaper than a Wii' is going to the running tagline for the 360 in all of the media outlets.
Ok, right there you just clarified your position: you're speaking like a PS3 fanboy troll. I tried to be fair, but you obviously have an agenda. I'm done.

I rented it since I heard it was so short and got through it pretty quickly. I'm more of a single person player than multi, so this was the best way for me to experience it. Great game for sure, but very short. Ridiculously short. Shockingly short. Unacceptably short.
So I'd advise renting it over either buying or avoiding.
Sources are saying that the 20 GB Pro will be replaced with 60 GB drives. Since console makers never put in more expensive components and drop the price at the same time, I think that this supposed change will serve as the "price drop." It's like Nintendo planted an insider in MS and is doing everything he can to ensure the Wii keeps in the lead in console sales.argianas
Yeah, Kotaku ran a story on this too and it bugs me. MS needs to get down to a more mass market price, and here was their chance to do it so they are adding a bigger HDD????? If this ends up being another measly $50 price cut, even with the additional space, then they are REALLY shooting themselves in the foot.
The only benefit I could see to this is if they plan on doing TWO price cuts this year, $50 now and $50 more for the holiday season. Two cuts in one year screams desperation to me, but obviously it didn't hurt public perception of the PS3 at all when Sony did it last year.
I know this is just a rumor, so I won't overreact to it. But it does seem just like the sort of bonehead decision that these companies are making right now. With a borderline recession in the US, they need to realize that their consoles are still just too expensive for your average joe.
