Needs a few more people to keep my interest. Jeff's great, but Jeff only for an hour is a bit much. 5 minutes in I'm done.

I think its a great idea (more like Mass Effect, though, than Oblivion for OBVIOUS reasons). The shows universe is rich enough to be quite an entertaining RPG. It might be difficult, though, to keep the humor up for anything longer than maybe 15-20 hours. That's the equivalent of almost 2 full seasons of the show!

The PS3 had a good month with nearly 800k sold. That's the end of the good news for it, though, folks.

- Many have said that the PS3 is tracking as well as the 360 did during its first year. Well, the 360 sold 4.58 million by the end of 2006 in North America. PS3 in 2007? 3.2 million.

- While the Wii led the year in hardware (I'm not counting portables for this comparison), the 360 led in software. The PS3 led in ... nothing. And it wasn't remotely close to the leader in either category.

- Many have stated that 2008 will be the year for the PS3. This is based on some key software that has generated a lot of interest and said interest could turn into sales. While this could happen, the trend for PS3 hardware and software sales in NA do not support that. While I do agree that the PS3 should do BETTER this year we don't know for sure (SIDE NOTE: vgchartz, which proved to be fairly close in its hardware guesstimates for Dec has tracked the PS3 as returning to sub-2007 January numbers so far this year). Video game sales trends tend to be fairly illustrative and relatively steady.

- As for the 360, with sales so close to the Wii in December, what will happen if/when MS decides to drop the price SIGNIFICANTLY? I ask this because the $50 cut last year couldn't have been the real cut. The system has been manufactured for nearly 2½ years, so manufacturing cost are surely MUCH less than they were in Sep 2005 (Sony has reportedly halved the manu cost for the PS3 is much less time). Has MS positioned themselves to drop the price of each SKU nearly $100 in short order? How much will that boost sales for a system that is ALREADY outselling the PS3 consistently in NA?

2008 should be a very interesting year for gaming (lots of potentially great software in particular), but I see the much talked about CONSOLE WARRRRRR playing out much the same as it did this year with the PS3 possibly having a slight increase in sales growth.

[QUOTE="Metalnoid"]The life of the current generation must end in 2009 or 2010, not more than that. Thats the normal lifetime of a console 4-5 years.
So, start saving in 2008 for the new hardware. Mass Effect will be on the next-generation for sure.abdelmessih101

That's not completely true ... Sony made the PS3 to last about ten years and will probably release the PS4 in the last 2-3 years of the PS3's lifetime ... so 2013 or 2014

Here is an article predicting that the PS4 Will Launch in 2014

There's another article by the same website predicting that the Next Xbox (720?) Will Launch in 2009

Both articles give 10 reasons why they think those will be the launch years.

Those are two of the worst articles I have ever read. I'm not one for hyperbole, so for me to make statements like that THEY REALLY HAD TO BE THAT BAD! gameplayer is now officially on my personal list of websites that will never get hits from me again (and they're all about the hits; thus 5 pages for a story that could be done in one).

Condemned fits that description perfectly.PlasmaBeam44

But doesn't Condemned get all supernatural toward the end and during the ending? From the vids I've seen and things I've read, it sure does look like it. And the sequel even MORE so.

ED is supernatural too.

I'm hoping Alan Wake ISN'T supernatural in any way and simply really gets into the whole 'psychological' thriller aspect more. That could REALLY be scary and disturbing, as true madness likely is.

I also did both in consecutive playthroughs. Killing her, though, is a horrible moment in the game. Seriously, the weight of committing genocide was palpable, as were her death howls.

What I don't understand is how this all transfers to the next game, especially if we all have multiple playthroughs.
