With word of first GeoW2 footage on May 9th and the embargo for the recent Banjo press showing ending on May 13th, is this when MS will FINALLY give us the good taste of what's coming in the second half of 2008 (other than Too Human and Fable 2)?

I didnt see nothing about spring showcase. Where is it?

In the link:

Next month, Microsoft will be demoing Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2 and more at its 2008 Spring Showcase event, according to press invitation we received from the publisher today. Unfortunately, that's all the information we have for you for now.

Wow. I'm kinda surprised so few were interested in this. Is it only GTA and CoD now?

It would be considered THE MOST HATED RPG EVER because extremist fans of each wouldn't be able to stand the concessions made in mixing the design elements.

Did you guys play the same game I played???????????? It took me well over 20 hours the first time through. Maybe even closer to 30. I will never, EVER understand the rush to get through these games and then complaining on message boards about them being short. Never.

While I'm not in support of BLATANT COPYING, I am of the belief that games with new controllers and interfaces CAN be highly successful. Thus a system (Wii) need not be built exclusively around such controls.

The ridiculous success of the Guitar Hero series, Rock Band and Wii Fit should make it clear that, if the accompanying games are fun and offer new experiences, then people will buy in droves even with the expensive price that comes with adding a unique controller.

Am I wrong?

Wow, thats a tough one to answer. For me, they are about even. I know I've put about 200+ hours into Oblivion with multiple characters. There is a lot to do in that game. Sometimes I would turn it on and not even do any quests; I would just play for like two hours and just roam around the countryside exploring and adding new places to my map. But then, with Forza 2, I know i spent a good 3 months straight on that game. I'm not sure how many hours it equalled out to, but it as a lot. Not only did it take me a long time to finish the career, but I actually took the time to go and buy EVERY car in the game. I had to do that final endurance race so many times I lost count. But, all in all, I love both games, and can't wait for the next iterations of both (although if the make the next Elder Scrolls a MMORPG I'll be pissed!).the05birdman

Thank you. Best answer on here, as you not only PLAYED both, but you played to COMPLETION.

And, for the record everyone, I'm not asking for an opinion of which to buy. I was just curious as to which is LONGER. I know Oblivion claims to have over 100 hours of gameplay, but I've heard no such claims for Forza. But after PLAYING Forza, I can EASILY see how it would take WELL over 100 hours to play it to virtual COMPLETION.

Yes, it was a DECENT game. I'm not going to call it great, because its ambition far exceeded its actuality. But what was there can really be built upon and a sequel could truly be a really good gaming experience.

Its not completely dead, but ...... the chances of it continuing are very small. Majesco still is the rights holder and they apparently don't have any plans for it. Chair would like to get the rights back, but unless they come out with something better than Undertow, I don't see how they could convince a new publisher to back a sequel anyway.

Have many of you that voted actually played completely through both? By that I mean, in Oblivion, played through the entire single player game and all of the side quest and, in FM2, played through the arcade mode, time trials, and entire career mode with collecting all of the cars. Sure, both games you can fiddle with endlessly, but I'm talking about what would technically be 'completing' the games.

I haven't played Oblivion, but I know its ridiculously long. But it seems a lot of you are blowing off FM2 because you LIKE Oblivion more. I'm not asking which you like more, I'm asking which takes more time to 'complete'. I've spent probably over 30 hours on Forza and I've only done the arcade mode, time trials and about 15-20% of the career mode (I'm driver level 22, is that even 20%?). I think its a longer game than people are giving it credit for here.

In other news, I need another 8-10 hour game ...
