Well... first off its not the government that said that, its scientists. And secondly when in space, the earth doesn't look flat. Of course now you're gonna tell me that we haven't been to space yet, or that there is no such thing... right?

So it seems everyone who visits Off Topic has been to the Flat Earth believers r3tarded site. I think we shud invite some of those crazy ppl to gamespot , they would probly be a good addition to system wars lol especially that Tom Bishop guy.GsSanAndreas

Question: Why does a ship's mast disappear last across a horizon? - Answer: We already know that we get gravity because the whole solar system is accelerating upwards. Vision comes from light waves, so as the ship is sailing away, the light waves from it are decelerating downwards. This gives the effect that the Earth is curved, when in actuality, it is not. - Also, this is the reason why radio waves will not reach out to long distances. - Conceptually: Radio waves have two velocities - a vertical velocity from the upward motion of the Earth, and a horizontal velocity from a transmitter. The vertical velocity will decelerate once it leaves Earth's mass (the transmitter), and the Earth's upward motion will cause it to run into the ground.
