They think it will, but it's based on the same micro architecture as the Core 2 Duo's, and Intel is coming out with Penryn in later Q4 07, which is based on a faster architecture.

download a program called cpu-z (just type it into google)

When you run the exe, look at the mobo specs and see what it is called, then tell me, and I'll tell you if it works.

i got 450-500$ to spend on a low lame gaming machine(il still be step up from my current one)

so far i got a psu,case,keyboard, mouse, card for internet, and a mobo (athlon 64 series slot)

all other parts i will need( sound card is not nessisary((spell check)))
