reading comprehension fail. This isn't a confirmation of anything, it's just Geoff going off the same info we've known about since GDC, which is that the Wii-U will be running UE3.9 This doesn't mean that Wii-U will be exclusively UE3.9.

blu-rays are cheap as hell now, if the wii-u did have blu-ray it would be the same price as adding a regular dvd disc drive.

Indeed they are dirt cheap. Which is why it's pointless to put it in the console.

It's four times as much as 360 and PS3 have...

Combined with a good enough GPU and CPU, you should be looking at BF3 and Crysis 2 PC level graphics (which would be impressive for a console).

actually it's even more than four times since this is just counting the RAM. It'd be more if you factor in the VRAM which would probably be another gig
