Tekken: Dark Ressurection

I'm sure some of you have heard that Tekken is coming to the PSP, well it turns out that it'll be an arcade port of Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection. BUT for some reason, the 5 has been taken out of the name (according to IGN), so that gives the impression that there will be some new features, as well as the 2 extra characters found in he arcade version.

I myself am such a Tekken fan, that if they had ported the normal Tekken 5 to PSP, i still would have bought it, but the extra features sound great. So i'll be importing a US version as soon as possible.

I finally played the Xbox 360

And lemme tell you, i spent $20 (that's about $12 american) to play it for 1 hour at a Xbox and PC lounge and it was definitely worth it. I played Perfect Dark Zero and it was fun, not Halo quality of coarse, but it was still good. My friend joined in an we played co-op mode, which was great as well. It would have been a lot better if didn't shoot me then run away, but fun nonetheless.

If you know me, you know i'm not the biggest Xbox fan. Actually i'm not an Xbox fan at all, but the 360 is still pretty damn cool, but i'm definitely not going to spend $650 (about $480 for you Americans) on a 360, i mean it's fun, but not $650 fun. Maybe i'll buy it when it gets a price drop, a major price drop. Where talking a $300 price drop, which won't happen anytime soon.

I'll just stick with my original plan to get a Revoloution, then maybe a PS3 if it gets cheaper (it's expected to be over $1000 in Australia i think. That's over $750 for you americans, and damn it i'm getting tired of translating finance). But the PS3 will have Tekken, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy and so on. So if i get a 360, it'll be when it gets a price drop to about $300 ($225 American) and we all know that will only happen when the Xbox 720, or whatever will be announced, or around that time.

And another thing, the PSP Tekken is on it's way and damn it, it's gonna own so hard, and i'll be importing it as soon as an english version is available (none of that japanese crap for me).

Haven't posted in here for a while

Hey every body. I was just reading some of my older journal entries, and and decided to write another one, cause the last one i wrote was over a month and a half ago. =o. So basically, now i'm going to write about my life for the next 5-10 minutes, pretending someone out there is actually reading.

How should i start. Ah yes. Purchases. I just recently purchased Mario Kart DS, and pre-ordered Need For Speed Most Wanted Black Edition. I've been looking forward to Most Wanted for a while now, and i plan on getting it next friday, when it comes out in Australia. Mario Kart is a lot better than i expected it would be. Lets hope i don't swap it in for my money back. I have a habbit of doing that, i really hate it, but i can't stop. Pretty sad.

Also, o've been playing Nintendogs for almost two months now, and i'm still not getting bored of it. That is awesome for me. But the other day i gave away all my dogs, except the dog i started of with (my Shiba Inu), so i'll need to buy another dog sometime soon, and i've been thinking of picking up a Boxer. Interesting.

Changing subject now, this weeks WWE Raw tribute to Eddie Guerrero (Rest In Peace) was one of the best Raw's in a long, long time. And when i say long time, i mean a real long time, where talking about a year and a hlaf or so here. I can still remember watching the Owen Hart (Rest In Peace) tribute Raw, suprisingly the Eddie Guerrero tribute was a bit better, dispite WWE (or WWF back then) a generally better period of time for the WWE/F. If you know what i mean.

Unfortunately the Smackdown! tribute wasn't really that great. The Christ Benoit vs HHH match was way better than i expected it to be. This is one of those examples where you can tell WWE is pushing Raw, more than it is Smackdown!. Nonetheless, it was still better than the average Smackdown! Both shows were worth watching.

And that's it for toda kiddies. Too lazy to write anymore. I'll try to write more often, although to be honest i know no one reads this. Bu hey, ect.

The "new" Gamespot

The new layout for this site has just been shown (and i say shown, because there are still a few problems that are likely to be fixed soon), and already people are saying they don't like it. Well i would just like to say that i think the Gamespot staff did an excellent job making a new layout.

Sure its got its problems, just like any new layout will have, but non that aren't fixable. Actually the only thing that i noticed that i got a bit stirred up about it that it takes longer to post. It takes about a minute for it to load and then post the message. I dunno if this problem is occuring for everyone but it is for me.

Nontheless this is still an excellent job done by Gamespot, and i would like the congradulate them on it. Great job guys.

Finally an enjoyable WWE Raw (possible spoilers)

Last weeks WWE Raw was supposed to be one of the best Raw editions in a long time, but unfortuanately, i missed it, so this weeks Raw was probably the best i've seen in a long time, and i mean a long time. The last decent Raw edition i saw was about 2 years ago, but by the looks of it, WWE are finally getting back on track. Don't get me wrong though, there were some boring bits, such as the Shelton Benjiman vs Kerwin White match, but for the most part it was a entertaining Raw.

Even the Tag Team match that involved the two new Tag Team champions was pretty good. The best match though was probably the main event. About 5 minutes of the match was a bit boring, it got very interesting towards the end of the match, though i don't like how it ended, and i'm also a bit annoyed that for the past 2 or so months John Cena has been getting his ass handed to him after nearly all of his matches.

Even with it's flaws, it was still easily one of the best WWE Raw's to come along in quite some time (excluding last weeks editio, i didn't see that, so it doesn't count). I was actually impressed by the mic skills of Shawn Micheals in the opening segment of it, and it's always fun to watch Carlito shout in some other language when he's really angry, so yeah, if you missed this weeks Raw you should probably try to see it when it replays or something, and i'm actually pretty exited for next weeks WWE Raw when it "Returns home to the USA Network".

Whoa, this game is suprisingly good

NFL Street 2 Unleashed for PSP - NFL Street 2 Unleashed Sony PSP - NFL Street 2 Unleashed PSP Game

I borrowed it form a friend a few days ago, it's actually a lot of fun after you get used to the controls and get good at it, which talkes some time, but it's worth it. I haven't finished it yet, i've only "owned" one part of the city, and i dunno how much parts there are so hopefully theres enough, but not too much, other wise it'll get pretty repetative, just like NBA Street 3 did on PS2. Hopefully i can finish it before my friend wants it back, then i can write a review on it (i dunno why, but i like writting reviews ^_^).

Only porblem is that it's really difficult, for me anyway, but i did some of the tutorials and it made it easier, but it's still pretty damn hard. Graphics are decent, though there are some minor frame rate problems, the soundtrack is incredible. Heaps of Rap/Hip Hop stuff which is the music i like and the game isn't that repetative....yet.

Pre-Order Madness

So i went to my local EBgames today, and i pre-ordered a whole bucnh of games that i plan on getting this year. Here they are:

That's a lot of games, for me anyway. I put about $30 down on most of them.

That's all for today.

Revoloution Controller

When i first saw the Revoloution controller, i had the same response as a lot of other people--What The F***. Then, i took the advice from someone on GS, and read the IGN article and now, it seems amazing. Of coarse, this is a big risk by Nintendo. The new controller means you'll have to get used to some things in order to play some of the games. I just can't imagine playing Super Smash Brothers. with a tv remote like controller. Even though i do think the concept it unique, and even amazing, i still have some doubt. Lets just hope Nintendo knows what there doing. But they were right when Reggie said at the pre-e3 Nintendo press-conference that they would "change the game".

Pretty cool day

Well, firsti got a PSP. Yup. Last night, me and my dad went at midnight to pick one up at the Australian launch launch :o I got Need For Speed Underground Rivals for it, and so far, i'm enjoying the PSP and Rivals. The graphical capabilities of the PSP are very impressive, near PS2 quality graphics on something a third or even a quarter the normal PS2's size. Though there are some minor problems with it. For one, it doesn't feel as stable as the DS, also the screen gets dirty pretty quickly. But i would say, it's just as good as the DS, i don't really prefer one from the other, there both awesome.

I also saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today.....also on the day it opened in Australia. Well my whole class wen't, it was an excursion. But we have to write a review on it. Everything comes at a price these days. Anyway, the movie was actually really entertaining, Johnny Depp performance was outstanding. The only thing athat was dissapointing were the oompa loompa's and there songs. The songs had alright lyrics, but they weren't performed to good, and the oompa loompa's just looked like really small people.

And that's all for today folks. For anyone, who for some strange reason enjoys reading my entries, sorry for the lack of entries, i'll try to write some more often. Anyway, i'm out.
