The Wii U is done. It was released with bad decisions and complete BS. "We will bring in teh hard core games" none new, and the ones they got were ports, and nearly 70% of all devs that said they would put games on it backed off. "the Wii U is more powerful" Show something that takes advantage of hardware first please. "These X games will be released at X time" almost all were delayed or canceled. "We will change the name of the console" By putting in a U at the end of Wii? That won't make people think that it's not a new system. Oh, people think it's not a new system? Opps. "Our software is selling" Like Mario and Nintendo land only? "We have a cheaper option for entry level consumers" The basic version with a game is more expensive than the Deluxe version which comes with a game. So many bad decisions. First THQ, than Atari, Than Nintendo is next if they don't pull through. I don't think even with japanese 3DS sales that I have been reading the last few days could save the Wii u since they are selling at a loss like the GBA saving the cube.
Even though it sold more than the Gamecube, after the Wii, the Gamecube ended up gaining more interest, while when the 360 released the Xbox is not.(whether that has to do with the 360 being better than the Xbox and the Wii being worse than the Gamecube is still a debated issue but that's another story) I find that weird, even now people don't even know Xbox. In fact, seems like they are forgetting it more and more with the downsampling of its game library while it was not that far off from the PS2 selling almost half of the PS2's software not including bundles and such. I think it was a pretty good system, maybe even better than the PS2. it had lots of great games, it had quite a few that did well, and some games that MS experimented with like Blinx that were pretty entertaining, and bringing PC games to the console market as well, so it was pretty much an unfamiliar venture for veteran console gamers. Not sure why it is not getting much interest outside the Halo games and Fable. Some of the Sega games do get talked about though.
Its been proven time and time again that VG chartz over tracks 360 and undertracks PS3. Theres no such thing as 1 all knowing source on the internet.

This website can't even be bothered to update with official numbers, is off by millions, and you're telling me we should take them more serously than the last official release from publishers? :lol:

^^Waitin for what? Already was man enough to admit I was wrong, unlike some posters here that will deny til their blue in the face. It still doesn't change the fact that not all gaming companies show what they sell in that fashion and VG charts is the only source of recording game sales for certain games. 6 mil isn't THAT far from 7-8 mil.
