@blackbeltjones @Dissentioncc I plan to. I can also rip the Xbox One all I want to. That's the beauty of freedom of speech. I'm also not shortsighted, you just put too much worth into these minute "innovations" that are nothing more than convenience for laziness.
@blackbeltjones @Dissentioncc Ok, and think about that for a second. Why didn't everyone have it? Because most people didn't care about it. If it was so awesome it would have flown off the shelves and people would have been praising it. Forcing "innovation" on customers at a higher price tag is not good business. Strip it down to a videogame system? That's what they've always been, and it's not a problem. You want more out of a system that can play games? Those exist already, they are called PCs.
@blackbeltjones @Dissentioncc What you see as innovative, a lot of people don't care about. I'd rather not have to shout or gesture at my console to get it to do things. If other people are there, I'd have to be like "Hey shut up everyone so I can tell my Xbox what to do next!" It's pseudo-innovation. The crap of cheesy Sci-Fi movies.
@blackbeltjones Look, if they had those things as options, most people would be like "Oh, that's pretty cool. I might want that, but I could probably live without it." The problem is that they force the damn thing on people which jacks the price up by $100. I'm in the camp that has no problems pushing buttons to navigate menus and control my console. The voice/gesture commands don't appeal to me at all.
In my opinion we should all stand up as gamers and not buy into their bs even with the changes so far. Some people are just too easily forgiving I guess. I'd rather see them out of the console market entirely.
@xhawk27 As it should be. I don't give a shit about having a camera for playing games. Some people might. The option is what makes sense. Forcing it doesn't.
"When your family member accesses any of your games, they’re placed into a special demo mode. This demo mode in most cases would be the full game with a 15-45 minute timer and in some cases an hour. This allowed the person to play the game, get familiar with it then make a purchase if they wanted to. When the time limit was up they would automatically be prompted to the Marketplace so that they may order it if liked the game."
Source: @XisurusX a ways down. Not sure if anyone read it. This "oh so great" feature was just a glorified demo sharing system. LOL
@thermalmotion @Pokemon18986 I have no problem with innovative ideas integrated into new consoles.....when they don't suck donkey balls. Options are what we want, not restrictions.
