I haven't had any problems with Vista either, and I LOVE it. It's a huge improvement from XP in my opinion. Some of my favorite things are:
The "Games" link on the Start menu, game requirements and PC "score", but most of all the game menu with fast game access.
Seeing a small representation of the page when I move the mouse over something on the minimization bar,
The updated new colors and appearance (superficial, I know, but I love it anyway)
The Media Center that you can connect to your Xbox360
Sleep Mode
I definitely don't see myself as one and I would hope others don't think I am. I love all the systems. I have a launch day Xbox360, launch Wii, gaming PC, and DS Lite. The ONLY reason I don't have the PS3 and PSP yet is money, but I plan to have those too by years' end. Heck, I even have a fifth gen iPod with games and games on my cell phone. I have to admit, I do have a favorite (the 360) but I buy games for all of them and would not want to have to go without any of them. I get excited about all next gen systems that are released.
I have to admit though, I am anti-older-gen systems... so I guess you could say I'm a "next gen fanboy". I have let all my old systems collect dust since the day the 360 came out and I refuse to play games on them.
Because, obviously, everyone doesn't feel the same way as you do about football games. Maybe it doesn't need the HUGE coverage it gets way more than the average game, but I think Gamespot does that because the game is so popular. A LOT of people are buying this game or at least thinking about it, and therefore are interested in the coverage.
People are really passionate about Madden because they are passionate about football. They love their team with great loyalty and are excited about football season. It may not be your thing but it is important to a lot of people. I have Madden preordered and I've looked at the Gamespot coverage, although, it is not my most anticipated game of the fall by any stretch, but i totally understand why they give it so much coverage. I won't be surprised when they do the same (probably more) for Halo 3 during its release month.
I don't require multiplayer in a game. If it has multiplayer, I will try it, but 9 times out of 10 I won't be impressed and won't use the multiplayer on any kind of regular basis. On most games, I find the multiplayer repetitive and boring and there are a lot of undesirables in the community. The few rare exceptions I've had were Call of Juarez, Shadowrun, Rainbow Six Vegas, and Lost Planet. I don't like any of the other games multiplayer modes. It might seem strange that someone with such a heavy emphasis on single player would buy a game like Shadowrun... if it didn't offer solo play against bots I wouldn't have bought it, but since it has that, plus I really enjoyed the multiplayer unlike most games, I bought it.
Co-op split screen is another story. I wish every game had co-op split screen, because while I don't enjoy playing with total strangers very much I LOVE playing with friends that I know in my own living room. Games are not putting enough emphasis on this these days. Sometimes I wonder if some of these developers have any real life friends.
[QUOTE="Diva-of-Destiny"]I play on the PC, Xbox360, and Wii. If a game is available on multiple platforms, I always buy it on the 360 first, unless the release date is much later. I actually PREFER the controller a lot over the keyboard and mouse. In fact, I'm starting to become irritated that more "Games for Windows" aren't compatible with the Xbox360 controller because I like to use it with my PC, too.
Just be glad games come out on multiple platforms. There will be fewer games you will have to miss out on if you don't own every gaming system. I'm already looking at shelling out for a PS3 too now that they have some exclusives I'm interested in.

Get out of this Thread.
Back to the topic!
I think its Rather stupid the fact they produce the game on a PC and yet they don't bring it out on it first?
But anyway not all Ports are that bad Oblivion dosent even feel like a port i think its a great game the same goes for RS:V.
I won't "get out" and I was COMPLETELY ON TOPIC. This thread is about ports. I gave my opinion of ports, that it's good because everyone has a chance to play the game regardless of what system they own. I should get out just because I'm not a PC fanboy? I've put a lot more money into my gaming pc than anything else so I've got as much business on the PC forum as anyone else.
