Anyone know what happened to the Gundam game that was being developed for the 360? I recall it was being done at the same time as the PS3 launch title was but by a seperate studio. I cant recall the name but I think it was Gundam: Troy or something like that. Anyway, it seemed like it had some promise...atleast more than the craptastic PS3 game.

Same here ....you are not alone.  This must be a prep thing.   If not...then they some how screwed up Crackdown for me...and I will be pissed!

If a company (such as Epic) wants to release their maps FREE to the public WHY does Microsoft have to butt in and deny them being free and tell them "you must charge x amount of dollars". They are already squeezing money out of us every year which I don't dispute, it is the content king out of all three services (even though personally i don't need half the crap on it anyways), but then again online gaming is free on PC(excluding MMORPGs), PS3 and Wii.  But to deny a company from releasing their maps for free to owners of the game, by taxing us for something that should be free by the developers word, thats pure greed in my eyes.  probably because their entertainment division is losing money. i guess that makes sense.

So before you go off blindly defending Microsoft, use your brain and take a look at the bigger issue.

Umm....I know one BIG reason.  Microsoft is the publisher on this game.  So ....it's really their game not Epics.  They can do what they want with it since they ponied up all the cash for it to be made.

People say it costs 800 pts for 4 maps.  Well I look at it this way... I have paid 800pts and from that time I have gotten 6 maps and a brand new game mode called Annex.  That definitely is worth the 800 pts.

k , what do people play on xbl ?? according to statistics halo 2 & graw are most popular , 2 shooters ..sorry to burst your bubble but as far as shooters and the fps genre goes PC kills the xbox 360 , now that halo 2 is finally coming to pc , i now have reason to trade in my copy in which i purchased back in nov 09 2004 ,graw on the other hand i purchased for PC not because of the XBL fee , but because these type of shooters are best played w/ a mouse and keyboard ..

to answer your question i have an xbox 360 w/ PD0,PGR3,FAR CRY predator,Ridge Racer 6,Oblivion, Gears of War and im currently enjoying my 1 month old wii console w/ LoZ :TP.

my PS3 also downloads demo's & videos and it's free

keep in mind that PSN network just started and it can only get better

No...this is not the new E3.  While I do agree Sony is trying to use this as a platform to make announcements I think that is more due to the fact that they are launching in Europe this month and want to create as much buzz as they can....with out a major gaming show around ...GDC is the next best thing. 

This show however is still all about devs and learning new tricks of the trade.

Finally, someone who feels exactly the way I did when I played the demo. I was truely dissapointed but everybody and their grandmother says this game is "teh awesome-ness!" So I dont know what to believe. I watched some video footage of it this morning on Cinematech which made it look super awesome. So I guess the actual game could be good. I'm still not sure though.

Give it a rent first if you felt that way.  I was in the same boat..took a chance on it....AND HAVE LOVED IT EVER SINCE!!!!!
