Not gonna happen with them pushing the Xbox Live service.
2/3 offline would not make sense whatsoever. 50/50 maybe. You don't have to get every achievement. With that in mind I have traded in games I hated b4 getting even the easiest of achievements remaining (Top Spin comes to mind).

I agree with you that its not gonna happen. Certainly I would like to see it happen but like you said...pushing LIVE means they will want to keep things happening there. I also have traded in games before getting the easiest of achievments in the game because of my hatred of the game overall. LOL...with the $60 price tag now...i have become a tad more cautious on my buys.
Most of the games now are making the majority of pts achievable through online play. I don't agree with this trend. I think almost all acheivements should be available through the single player game (unless it is an online only game) this way EVERYONE has a chance to earn a decent gamer score even if they don't like to play online.
In the past this was not really an issue as your gamerscore really only applied to braggin rights. But now with the onset of these challenges that will reward you based on your gamer score I think MS should begin to mandate that at least 2/3rds if not all achievments be available through the single player (offline) experience.
heh, that was actually a pretty good analysis; although you could've made having the Wii not sound like statutory rape. DementedDragon
Yeah I suppose I did take it towards the statutory rape side, but honestly when I look at all the Wii games it just has that younger person feel right now with the exception of Zelda.
[QUOTE="Jandurin"]So, what happens if you own all 3?dawso0n
makes you a pimp like me
That or you live in Utah!
I look at the consoles and I think you can make some nice comparisons to women...and given its V-day...well what the heck ...why not have some fun with it. Did i say nice comparisons? ....Hehehe...ok just comparisons.
The 360 is like the no frills girl that puts out and really likes doing it to the point that you love being with her but she is not going to be arm candy to the public eye. She is relationship material for sure and there are things she could do to improve an already great package.
The PS3 is the hot chick that everyone looks at and drools over. You get her home and she is a dead fish in bed. You like to look at her sitting there but you don't feel the need to play with her and wish she was as good as she looked. She has all the potential in the world from the outside in but she is demanding and expensive to date and thus a long term relationship is a little questionable. She could change for the better, but the outlook is not good and more than likely she will just stay eye candy.
The Wii...this is that girl that is cute and fun at first. Everyone loves her, and you are diggin on her but soon you begin to question just how old she really is. The more you play with her the more you question it and even though she is fun and a great time you just have this slightly dirty feeling in the back of you mind that she is just too young for you. If you were just a little younger or she was just a little older you would feel better about dating her...but for now you just kinda keep low key about it.
Then there is the PS2. She is older, more established. She aint flashy but she does what she does well enough. She is a decent enough date and is never too pricey or demanding when you go out. She makes her self available to you all the time and really is a great back up plan when the weekend turns out to be a flop.
Gamecube and the Xbox...They are the ex's you don't want to talk about anymore. Old news and the break up ended badly. No calls, no visits...just some memories both good and bad.
I haven't seen this posted yet. But, i was browsing through the XBLA games and came across something weird. If you goto Totemball, Its a full version arcade game for free. NO JOKES. I don't know if it still is free but I got it for free. It should be named Totemball - Free Offer. And you must have a XBL Vision Camera to play it.
Thanks Will :)
P.S: If you look through Gears Of War downloadable items there is a free theme. Also a free theme on The Godfather Downloads And a picture pack download for free somewhere which i forgot.
Stupid-Nezz
Just a note on Totemball....yes its a vision game.....AND NO ITS NOT WORTH THE TIME TO DOWNLOAD IT! It really is more a like a tech demo of what the camera could be used for than it is a real game....and worse yet....it controls horribly!!!!!!!!! Stupid game...I felt foolish afterward for even having thought it could be fun. Live Vision honestly is a bit of a waste unless you like to video chat...then it has some functionality.
Condemned definitely gets my vote. Fear had some good atmosphere but at the end of the day you alway have the motion slowdown and weapons up the wazzu to rely on. Condemned pretty much had you searching constantly for weapons just to stay alive. And for me the lighting and sound of Condemned really put it on a very high level of immersion. LOL...you play alone, in the dark sound cranked and you will feel your pulse quicken almost guaranteed!
Ok first off let me say that up until last night I had NEVER muted anyone on Live. I for the most part have always just endured the smack talk of individuals or just bailed out of a game if it was too annoying. But last night ....I discovered the "mute player" option. I mean I knew it was there ...but I had never actually tried it. Not too mention I for whatever reason had never thought of it as being a mute the individual rather than the whole game. So I never muted cause wrongly I thought I wouldn't be able to talk to others, etc. Yeah, I know...silly of me to have thought that was the case...but what can I say. I just really hadn't looked into the feature that completely.
Let me just say .....I LOVE THE MUTE FUNCTIONALITY OF LIVE! I had some punk kid screaming and singing during a session of COD3. I was completely angry at the 12yr old brat ....and had I been in front of him...I would have beat him down physically...he irritated that much. Anyway, I think I was more irritated because I really had been enjoying that room up until the little puke started to spout off. I was really frustrated because now I was feeling the need to leave the room cause I couldn't take it anymore...then I remembered...you can mute individuals. In a matter of seconds my experience went back to gaming bliss as I muted the little turd.
I know this is not a "new" function of LIVE. Many of you probably use it, but for me it was one of those things I knew was there but hadn't ever used it before. Using it last night was like discovering a brand new function on LIVE....and it really made a big difference. I left my gaming session happier than I have in a long time...all because of this simple yet GREAT game enhancing feature.
Thanks for the time...I just had to throw some props LIVE's way after last night.
You just gotta love LIVE!
