@Cheekz77 So you're going to talk down on Call of duty for not innovating, but when a game you like doesn't its fine? That's not hypocritical at all.....
@dmadrfe What do you people not get? The person who reviewed Dead Island isn't the same person who reviewed Dead Island Riptide, so the opinions are going to be different. I don't get how that is so hard for you to understand. You guys just assume every reviewer at gamespot has the exact same opinion as the next? These reviewers aren't robots, they are humans with varying opinions. The guy who reviewed Dead Island enjoyed the combat, and the guy who reviewed this game obviously didn't. Try using some logical thinking before you make silly comments.
@Geogyf It's one persons opinion, it doesn't represent gamespot as a whole, people complaining about the review don't seem to realize this. He didn't like the game so he's not going to change his score based on what fans think.
@quakke @Mamu-ti That's what they have difficulty settings for idiot. Not everyone wants to play Dark Souls and get raped in their cornhole every two seconds. People like you who come and comment on games they don't like are a plague on this site anymore.
@Shelledfade1 @Doobsac That's the thing though, the review is just one persons opinion, it doesn't represent all the reviewers on gamestop. He probably would have rated the first game a four as well.
@veryDERPY @Doobsac People just like to hate on COD because it's the same graphics and gameplay each year. The people that play it don't want the game to innovate because there is no reason to fix something that's not broken.
@gill117 Yeah I liked Demon Souls but I did a lot of soul farming to rank up my character and it made things much easier. I just don't have the patience to do that anymore.
BOTTOM LINE: If you liked the first you'll like the second, vise versa. This reviewer did a bad job by not telling us what he thought of the first game.
