I didn't create this thread to have it turn into a 360 vs PS3 war. I am always up for a good debate, but fighting over which console is better is a frivolous topic. If I wanted to, I would have placed this thread in system wars. I created this topic for the sole purpose of celebrating the release of a great racing series, with no intention of instigating a fight.
Agreed. The A.I. doesn't pressure you into tactical situations. It simply increases the damage that the player receives. You simply take cover, pop out, shoot, take cover, take time to heal, and repeat. Multiplayer is entertaining but is tainted with host advantage crab walkers, and before the update, the remote chainsaw.
Unfortunately, the full version won't be availible until January 22nd, 2008 in North America and January 25th, 2008 but I am looking forward to this game as I it has been a while since I've played a good racing game. The demo is going to be availible on December 13th, which also supports Xbox Live.
You do not need even have a decryption skilled player to progress through the story. That particular console allows you to set fire to the Rachni that are trapped inside the glassed room. You simply walk up to the door, unlock it, and blast your way through to next area.
It really depends on whether you have Xbox Live Gold. COD 4's singleplayer, while entertaining, is very short in terms of single player content (around 6 hours) but the longevity is lengthened considerably by the multiplayer aspect. Splitscreen, while fun is nothing in comparison to playing it online (even though you cannot have splitscreen online multiplayer which is a huge disappointment IMO).
If you enjoy a great single player experience I would definitely go for Mass Effect. If you've played any of BioWare's previous titles you know what to expect from ME.

The inability to lean in this game is what makes it difficult. That and the mass amount of grenades that are thrown your way. Good luck everyone. I know you'll probably get frustrated with Mile High Club as well, but with a little patience, you'll get through it.
