Played my brother (Stiff Upper Lip) in some NBA 2K5 last night.

First couple games were alright, wer were still learning the game. He won the first, I wont the second.

We seemed to have started a Bulls(Stiff) vs Celtics(Me) rivalry.

There game was excellent, bumped the diffictulty to superstar. I won with a lst second shot to win by 1 point.

The fourth game was best of all. With 4 seconds remaining I took Pierce in for 2 to go up by 1. Stiff calls timeout and gets teh ball at half court. 3.5 seconds remaining. His first in bounds attempt was knocked right back out with 3.0 seconds remaining. Stiff gest the ball inbound finally and gets it to Hinrich and beats the buzzer to put up a trey. I had Payton in his facce but the trey goes in.

Dam Hinrich!!!

Had lots of KU alumni in the game. Paul Peirce, Raef LaFrentz, Kirk Hinrich.

The presentation is nice, but for some reason the game just gave me a headache. Maybe I was just tired. Dunno, will go at it against pimpjuice tonight, see how it plays Live!

Wife and I rented Star Wars Battlefront for the weekend and beat it, almost twice. Good game, gave me headache though when playing online. No need to buy it, isnt worth $50, I dont think, but is a good weekend rental.

Rented burnout 3, certaintly worth buying, if had the extra cash. But I suspect I'll have it beat with the week.

Sweet graphics and sense of speed.

Yeah! Its finally released, picked it up last night. The only knock on this game is that it still has the 480p widescreen bug where the edges of the screen extends beyond yoru tv's borders. Its still good to play on, the rest of the game is great!!!!

I recently bought a 51" Magnavox Projection HD Ready Tv from Walmart. Turned out it had a problem with games on HD and lines on the screen would flicker. Over the weekend I took it back, upgraded to an RCA 52" and the flicker is gone, the picture is much better than the Magnavox. But still have a couple problems. All text on the screen is blurred by what appears to be a double image of all text in blue that makes it appear the the words are out of focus. and the the right side of the screen is acturally blurry, does not focus like the rest of the screen. Oh well, will get the 4 year warranty from Best Buy and have them come out and fix or replace it.

Played some Hockey with Qsecofr. Won three out of four contests though first time playing hockey for Qsecofr since the Good old Days on Sega. He was Avalanche and I the Devils.

Found the following settings to our liking....

Camera Angle: default 3/4, but zoomed in about 2/3 rds.
Difficulty: Hall of Fame
Game Speed: at least Half for now until he gets used to it.

I started using the following persoanl settings that night.

Shot Aiming: Manual
Goal Control: Automatic

Dam, I was really looking forward to adding a new type of game to my collection in this 2D fighter Guilty Gear 2. Was to be shipped 9/7, but now delayed last minute till 9/14. I am really, really, disapointed.
