Except for the kind of metal could be termed classic rock (like Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin), I find it extremely unappealing. Death metal and the like just sounds straight up bad IMO.

i think it's impossible to inherently dislike an entire genre. people here may associate metal with death metal, or black metal and say "no i hate all the screamo stuff therefore i hate metal"

but the majority of people probably like some form of metal whether it's a metallica song, iron maiden, black sabbath, led zeppelin etc.

i think it is possible

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]1. They grew up with it. 2. It was their first anime. Usually the two major reasons.789shadow

I have a major feeling that if you went back and watched it today, it would not hold up well. At all.

i watched the entire serieslike 7 times this year since i was young and its even better than i remember

[QUOTE="almasdeathchild"]

[QUOTE="CreasianDevaili"] Eh. DBZ ended after the freeza saga. Everyone kind of pressured and pressured until it continued. If that is around when you said it dragged on.CreasianDevaili

i enjoyed freeza,tad bit of cell.and the androids. nothing else though i did enjoy the silly fat buu

Cell wasn't good until the cell games and that was it. Anyhow.. why not give a try out for Dragonball Kai? They take out all the filler crap that they put in, which back then, it was in every episode. So it is more like today's anime with filler. Less in the episodes and more as their own sagas. As i said he manga had ended and the anime was trying to make it last as long as possible. Gives a bad impression by today's standard.

Kai blows, they took out the epic music and added that crap japanese music, redubbed some characters and butchered some scenes (like when goku transforms for the first time and goku doesnt make those cool grunts, they just show him standing there without saying anything with crap japanese music on, took all the epicness out)
