@suprsolider @xolivierx @JimmeyBurrows "blows all consoles out of the water"
*ahem* Like I said: Fanboy. And that part where you say a gaming PC will last a generation or more? Wow, talk about the BIGGEST over-exaggeration I've read in here.
You honestly think a rig built from scratch in 2008 is going to be able to handle Skyrim at its peak performance three years later? Bull fucking shit. You could spend upwards of $800 on a rig with dual graphics cards, you're going to have to upgrade again in less than three years.
I've been gaming on the PC for well over two decades, and it's JUST AS expensive over time as throwing money down on a console every 5-6 years. You can bring up the Steam argument all you want. I get a lot of my console games new for $20 or even less on Amazon after they've been out for a few months.
PC gaming is not the "optimal" choice, as you so arrogantly put it. I love it too, but it's a personal preference... nothing more than that.
@stailcookie Name one. Every single retail outlet has been reported "sold out" since last week. Not even online stores have any left. Nice try though! :D
@JimmeyBurrows Be sure and let me know when Red Dead Redemption comes out for the PC! :D
"PCs will take the lead" my ass... For crying out loud, when will you fanboys learn? There is no "LEAD" when it comes to plain and simple personal preference. Aside from RTS and MMO games, there's nothing out there the PC truly "KILLS EVERYTHING!" at.
Is the PC gaming dying? No way in hell. PC gaming will continue flourishing as long as we embrace it. But not everyone is willing to shell out money on a bi-yearly basis for new graphics cards and RAM upgrades.
By all means, PC gaming is fantastic. But you elitists need to stop flooding these forums with such bigoted remarks. You're the same as the folks who claimed PC was the end-all-be-all of gaming back in the 90s.
@TheSorrow66666 @chipwithdip There's nothing wrong with disliking a console. At all. I will never slam someone for saying the Wii is their favorite. It's all based on personal preference.
The problem is that so many are inclined to make outlandish claims in order to defend their stance. Saying Nintendo "refuses to make violent games" is just beyond all levels of wrong.
@enoslives7 Do not associate yourself with "hardcore gamers" please. Fanboyism is not tolerated.
Hardcore does not stand for "VIOLENT SHOOTY-SHOOTY GAMES ONLY!" Hardcore is someone who enjoys everything.
Go ahead and pout like a little kid. While you're busy crying for someone to buy you the next console, I'll happily buy all three competitors and enjoy the best of what they all have to offer, just like I did with the last two generations.
