@WolfGrey Yeah, because so many people whip out their laptops on a bus, plane or train to play PC games, right? I travel an awful lot, and I've yet to see it myself. You're arguing for a rather small group of people so no sympathy from my end at all. Also, EQ and UO started the whole "buying virtual items for cash" on eBay, which lasted for years. Everywhere from rare items to entire accounts going up for sale. Some going for hundreds of dollars. Not once did I say I thought the AH was a good idea. But it's also completely optional. No one is making you participate it in it. This whole thing isn't new. It's just a whole different approach at making money off it.

I love all the complaints about this. I'm not for the whole "buying virtual items with real money" thing either, but I am at least aware that it's completely optional, and not required of the player to take part in any form. You act like this is some sort of new problem. You know why this is going into effect so aggressively? Because there are truckloads of gamers who actually enjoy pissing their money away on items they'll never physically own. This has been going on since the early MMO days of EverQuest and Ultima Online. We complain about it, but it doesn't change the fact that there's unfortunately an aggressive market for it. But no one is telling you that you have to take part in it either. I never have, and I still enjoy these games.

@Ayzed "blizzard lost me at 'you must be online to play diablo 3'" You must be online to be on the internet in general. I must ask how often your computer is offline, and if you regularly play games without any sort of internet connection. How this registers as an inconvenience with you people is mind-boggling. You have cable/DSL, so being connected 24/7 is kind of a normal thing... or do you deliberately unplug your modems when you play single player games? Seriously, this "annoyance" was whined about months ago. Get over it already.

People who can't stand up and defend their own opinions have no business being in charge of a major company. Backpedaling on an unpopular point of view just shows how much of a complete coward you are. And it makes me hate you even more. I hope Crysis 3 sales hit an abysmal low.

@mos182 Asking for Gears to come to the PS3 is like expecting God of War or Uncharted to appear on the 360. It's not going to happen. That's why they're called "exclusives".
