Square Enix always seems confused about their poor sales, then they do crap like this. You don't take a group of well loved games that were all single player , change them to multiplayer and expect the fans to buy it all up. Can't keep blaming the "picky consumer" when you keep crapping in a game box and pricing it 59.99.
Even though they said it is set on a separate part of the story than the Legacy games, it just does not seem like a wise move. Give us more story driven, single player Kain games!
@Warful Breaking of immersion can be a huge thing for some people. 2 points off for it? Maybe not for everyone, I might knock 1 point off myself. Having never played the game, I can't really say what the score should have been but the pros section of the review makes it seem like he REALLY liked the game. Just found the cons big enough of a let down for his opinion to drop the score.
I honestly have trouble believing the 20 other sites giving it perfect scores, but like I said, perfect scores should be insanely rare. It might be worth a 9 and I am still buying the game first day, but his review seemed fair enough overall.
When did an 8 become such a terrible score? It should be hard to get an 8-9, 10 almost impossible. 1-3 should be buggy, terrible messes that no one should touch. 4-5 less than average or average games that could still be fun. 6-7 good good with few bugs. 8-9 crazy good games. 10 nearly perfect.
Now anything lower than a 9 means it is crap and shouldn't be played, if these posts are anything to go by. That seems a bit....screwy.
15 bucks for 4 DLC doesn't seem like a bad deal. Great game and if it adds a lot to the game than 15 bucks is cheaper than an old fashioned expansion would be.
This isn't going to bite them in the ass from just "gamers". Parents who buy a game used and then have to pay more will end up pissed off too. Could be very damaging.
Microsoft needs to stop the "focus of your living room" crap too. Just make a game console.
