I think both are good but i like doing single player as much as multi so i like halo 3 because call of duty doesn't have as in depth multi-player, and halo 3 has campaign scoring which i like.

I've had problems like this before with WoW related downloads, just close it and try again untill you get a good download rate.

from what i see, you know little-to-nothing about MMORPGS

heres a little explanation:

1.)There is no end to them. You can play forever.

2.)(with the exception of GW, which some people argue as not an MMO) You have to buy time to play the game. If you buy a 6 month card, you can play as much as you want in that 6 months, or you can play as little as you want, but you still have to pay for it.

3.)MMORPGS can be either incredibly boring or incredibly fun. I would have tried a free MMO before I would buy something like WoW because you dont even know if you like the type of game

4.)WoW/EQ2/Vanguard/in general MOST MMORPGS are huge timesinks, and if you plan on being good/decent, you are gonna have to devote a lot of time to the game

hope that helps

Also if you die in wow, you don't lose any of you stuff or anything, but the durrability on the items goes down and you have to pay to repair it.

CNet has the rudest F You I can give. My money will not go to Game Spot or CNet or Eidos. A CNet spokeswoman babbled some B.S. about not firing Jeff due to pressure from Eidos (rrright!) I think this is so awesome that we are all uniting for an injustice. I call on the Game Spot staff to put whatever pressure you can to get him back.

I think it will be great for the world of gaming and it will surely accelerate itaalkandari40
*cough*NO it wont.It will take money from the people that actutualy take the time and money to make the games. It might boost it for a little while, but the gaming industry will die because everybody just buys old pirated games and no new orriginal ideas will be made.

QFT. It really irritates me how people keep cheering for a KOTOR MMO or a TES MMO. Its been my experience that most of those people have never played an MMO before and thus don't realize that with MMOs there's almost no focus on story or character and instead a very sharp focus on repetitive grinding and farming. Single player games are not meant to be MMOs (though I guess TES could be an exception. After all the series is pretty much an MMORPG without the "multiplayer" part).

Here's how a typical MMO play session goes:

- Log on
- Start forming a group for instance that you need to do in order to get piece of loot that you want (or in many cases to get one step closer to getting piece of loot that you want)
- Wait one hour as group forms
- Begin traveliing to instance
- 20 minutes later go inside instance
- Spend 10 minutes buffing and getting everything set-up
- Start clearing instance
- 20 minutes later reach first boss
- Keep clearing. After 2 hours reach final boss
- Damn, didn't drop the loot you needed. Time to do everything again!
- You don't feel like doing that instance again. Go farm the same mobs for a couple hours in order to increase reputation with a faction/get a rare drop/gets mats for crafted items/rack up various items to sell to other players/increase a level/increase your weapon skills
- Guild chat: "ZOMG!11 WORLD BOSS JUST SPAWNED!!!1 EVERY1 TO HIS SPAWN POINT!"
- Drop what you're doing. Spend 20 minutes getting your ass over there
- Wait another 15 minutes as rest of guild slowly arrives
- Spend 10 minutes going over strategy and buffing, handing out potions, etc
- Some idiot wipes the group. Spend 10 minutes running back to your corpse
- Spend another 15 minutes waiting for rest of guild to respawn, heal, buff, rediscuss strategy, chew out the idiot
- Another guild arrives to take on boss. PVP match ensues
- Another guild arrives. They kill the boss while you and the other guild are busy killing each other
- Go back to farming. Hopefully tonight on your nightly guild raid that sweet uber loot you've been drooling over for the past three months will finally drop (and hopefully you'll have the DKP to outbid everyone else on it)...

Now maybe this is just me, but I prefer KOTOR's single player experience to that.

Here is the great thing. You stated one MMORPG game and that would be WoW. If you guys don't like them go play your single player games. No one is stopping you so why stop us players who have the money to pay for these games. Get this. I normally buy 1 game every month at $40-$50. WoW is $15 and it will last longer then any single player campaign ever has. If you enjoy a game you will pay for it. Take you favorite Single Player game. Pay the $50 for what 20-30 hours of play. Then its over. Yea there might be the replayability factor there but so does any MMORPG. Am I not telling the truth or?

I Completely Agree with you, if you don't like one MMO then go find another. And another thing you don't get in a single player RPG is the whole community and playing with other people. I mean theres only so faryou can go with a single minded AI. And people think that a monthly fee is bad, but in general its cheaper than buying a new game for 60 bucks every month or so. And another thing, forming groups is usually one of the Key parts of MMOs, and if your not willing to have some Patience to get one going then i mean MMO isn't realy for you. Another thing you didn't look at is is you had fun during the instance, if you enjoyed the encounters and the ability to coordinate with other people to work together to fight through the instance, or are you just looking at it like a nuisance to get loot. Its all in the way you look at it.
