Well I had DNS trouble with PS2 online, I don't even own an Xbox :P

Anyways, follow these simple instructions.

Start>Run>type in 'command'>type in ipconfig /all

It should come up with all these IP addresses and stuff like that. Go to were it says DNS servers, there will be two sets of numbers there. When setting up XBOX live put the numbers in the DNS bit, if it still doesnt work switch the two around (primary and secondary) if that doesnt work...well...i just don't know.

I don't know the problem. Though, it seems that all your issues are all incorporated with the laser, so just get a new one like me and it should all be better. You probaly half destroyed the lense or something. Heard any loud crunches lately?

The more we advance in technology the more things screw up. I've had mine for 2 years, it had to have the laser repaired once (wasn't my fault, it was my sis). My PS1 (which i havn't played for2 years) is probaly on it's 6-7'th year by now. PS3 life expentancy I reckon a year or two without repair.

Well, if you have a anything over an average TV, there should be more than one set of holes were you can plug your PS2/Wii into. Then all you have to do is switch between AV1/AV2 to access them.

I got my PS2 online the other day. All I did was plug the ethernet cable from my PS2 to my ADSL Modem. Then create a network account (which is were I had all the problems) and now I'm good to go!
