I'm still a teenager, but my parents used to be gamers so I grew up playing games like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter II, etc. It was actually pretty cool, but they're not gamers anymore. :(

Tough question. My response: maybe. I think Sega's been doing awesome ever since they dropped out of the console market so maybe it was for their benefit. But if the Dreamcast would have prevailed, a lot of Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 games by Sega would have been on the Dreamcast instead. Maybe even Call of Duty would have seen a title on the DC, or Devil May Cry or Street Fighter Anniversary Collection or (most likely) Jet Set Radio Future. Its sales would then rise and Sega would still be in the console market. :) Unfortunately, Sega wasn't the wisest with their choices. :( Now it's just 360 vs. PS3 vs. Wii (all awesome consoles with their share of Sega titles).

Sonic 3 & Knuckles = best game on the Mega Drive.

broken_bass_bin

I agree 100%. I always played Sonic 2 when I was about 4 years old with my sister (I was always Tails, she was Sonic). We always used to play split-screen multiplayer until we realized we could play co-op! EPIC! So about a billion years later, we got Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles (and Sonic 1, but that's unrelated :P). We played Sonic 3 & Knuckles and were completely blown away. The multiplayer sucked compared to Sonic 2, but the co-op got us playing for so long. We completed the game about 20 times (5 times with all Chaos Emeralds). Unfortunately, we never got all Super Emeralds, but we've always been trying. ;) But it was easily the best game on the Mega Drive.

I'd say the NES one, maybe because of the feel of the controller or something.

Any Mario, Mega Man 1, Dragon Warrior, Dragon Power, TMNT, and The Legend of Zelda. Final Fantasy was great but for me, it wasn't one of the best. :?

I can't remember, I was only 3 years old :P My parents were gamers, so I had both the NES and Mega Drive. On the NES I had Mario/Duck Hunt and some beat em up game that I don't remember the name of. On the Mega Drive it was Sonic 2, Street Fighter II, Road Rash II and Ms. Pac-Man. Unfortunately, my parents aren't gamers anymore :(

Final Fantasy VII and Super Mario 64. Remakes of those would be amazing.

[QUOTE="Demonjoe93"]

[QUOTE="Emerald_Warrior"] Which makes no sense to me since XBox is obviously the superior hardware (not counting PC). Graphics are better on XBox, memory capabilities are better, and the online play is leaps and bounds ahead. And it's got great exclusives tp boot.Emerald_Warrior

That doesn't matter. It's the games that matter. The Xbox didn't have that many major series other than Halo. You can have the best graphics, memory capabilities, and online play, but that all becomes irrelevant if you don't have the games to back it all up.

Doesn't have the games to back it up? Almost every multiplatform game looks the best on XBox, and it's not even a contest. And okay, Gamecube may have some pretty dang sweet exclusives that give XBox a run for it's money, but PS2 exclusives? Come on. XBox exclusives were geared more towards adults, though, so you didn't get stupid franchise characters like Pokemon and Spyro the Dragon. Plenty of great exclusives for XBox, (and the best multiplatforms): -Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge -Dead or Alive III -Doom III -Dungeons & Dragons Heroes -Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (Forget Halo, if you only owned this game, then you would have made a great investment into an XBox) -Fable -Far Cry: Instincts -Halo: Combat Evolved -Halo 2 -Jade Empire -Ninja Gaiden -Panzer Dragoon Orta -Project Gotham Racing 1 & 2 -Shenmue II -Sid Mier's Pirates -Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic -Star Wars: KOTR II: The Sith Lords -Stubbs the Zombie And some sports exclusives I don't care about, because I don't play sports games personally.

*cough* fanboy *cough* No offense dude, but you sound like a total fanboy :( Anybody that says Nintendo is "childish" because it has some of the best exclusives wasn't a gamer long enough to play some of the greatest classics of all time. Also, Spyro isn't a Gamecube exclusive and Pokemon doesn't have any major characters--that's the anime you're thinking about. I couldn't choose between PS2 and Gamecube, so I chose PS2 because I owned it longer. Was Xbox awesome? Hell yes. Was it the best? ...
