They did it again...on penalties!! They went down to 10 man early in the second half after Wayne Rooney was undeservadly sent off and England played very well and definately deserved more from the game but as usual they blew it.

I am extremely peed off at Englands elimination considering how much hype was surrounding them before the tournament.

I mean Lampard missed a penalty which hardly ever happens, same with Steven Gerrard. Then Jamie Caragher stepped up and missed.

No surprise to see France beat Brazil as they were never going to win because South American teams can't play in Europe but people kept saying Brazil will win the tounrament which I knew was never going to happen.

Well I am extremely annoyed at England and please share your thoughts.

IT WILL ACTUALLY BE A TOP 8. BECAUSE I AM DOING MY TOP 8 IN WHO I WANT TO WIN THE WORLD CUP.

1. ENGLAND - Well there is no doubt about that because that's where I come from. Come on England!

2. PORTUGAL - If they beat England, which I hope they don't then I will definately be going for Portuagl for the rest of the tournament.

3. UKRAINE - Not gonna happen but how good would it be to see Ukraine win it in their first ever World Cup.

4. ARGENTINA - I'm not much of a fan of the South American teams but Argentina is playing so well and it would be good to see them hold the trophy on European soil. It wouldn't be good if they did that by beating England.

5. FRANCE - I don't like France but I don't want to see the others win and here is why.

6. ITALY - Everyone who stayed up to watch the Socceroos will be hoping that Ukraine smash the leaving bajesus out of them. I hope the Italians get a good taste of their own medicine. But they were my tip before the tournament so if they won it would be good to rub it in a little.

7. BRAZIL - I like Brazil. I just don't want them winning yet another World Cup.

8. GERMANY - England's biggest rivals - on and off the field. I hope they lose to Argentina because Germany winning the World Cup would be the worst thing possible.

We now know who will be facing who in the Quarter Finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. 6 of the teams have won the prestigious tournament before, 1 have made the semi finals and the other is in the World Cup for the first time.

GERMANY VS ARGENTINA

Both teams have won the tournament before and are playing well enough to win it again. I think Argentina has been playing better than any other team but Germany will have the crowd on their side.

ITALY VS UKRAINE

Ukraine are in their first ever World Cup and must play the Italians in the Quarter Finals. It could so wasily have been Australia vs Ukraine but I won't get into that again. The Italians are former winners and will definately be the favourites heading into the match.

BRAZIL VS FRANCE

The last two winners of the World Cup go face to face for the first time since the Final in 1998 in which France emerged victorious. Brazil will be the favourites as always but it should be a cracker of a match.

ENGLAND VS PORTUGAL

England haven't lifted the World Cup trophy for 40 years and Portugal's best achievment in the World Cup is third place in the same year England ended up winning the tournament. They were knocked out by the English after suffering a 1-0 loss. England will need to lift their game if they want to defeat the in form Portugal.

Tonight will be the third late night in a row for me as I will be watching Ghana take on the World Champions Brazil!

Can anyone smell and upset in the air because I unfortunately can't. But that doesn't mean I won't be cheering on Ghana in hope that they can produce one of the greatest upsets in the history of Football.

Australia has been eliminated from the 2006 FIFA World Cup after suffering a contriversial 1-0 loss to Italy.

With the score at 0-0 and 8 seconds remaining on the clock Italy were awarded a penalty after the referee deemed that Grosso was tripped by Lucas Neill.

As usual it was a bad decision by the referee because Lucas Neill was on the ground and the Italy star fell over him and Lucas Neill never even moved.

Totti then stepped up and sealed the match and what a cruel way for Australia to leave the competition.

In the other match it was Ukraine defeating Switzerland on penalties after a 0-0 draw. The Swiss missed all 3 penalties while Ukraine scored 3 out of 4.

Time to blog about something other than the World Cup for once. Well in my previous blog I told everyone that is going for the Socceroos tonight to not eat any Italian food. Well I am supporting the Socceroos tonight but I just had to get some Pizza. I decided to get Pizza Hut and I had a Meat Lovers Pizza...mmm....Pizza..

It was bloody nice. So just one little thing about the World Cup - Go the Socceroos tonight and if they can somehow defeat Italy then they will definately be in the Semi Finals because if they can beat Italy then they will beat the winner of the Switzerland vs Ukraine match in the Quarters.

With the World Cup being on alot I haven't been up to much gaming as of late but I have managed to get some gametime in the past couple of days. I played my World Cup game and I was Argentina and I was drawn with Portugal, Ecuador and Nigeria (I pull the teams from a hat to determine the groups). I drew 0-0 with Nigeria, 1-1 with Portugal and then defeated Ecuador 2-0 to progress to the Knockout Stage. I then faced Mexico in the Round of 16 (like in real life) and I played extremely well and won 5-0. I then faced Germany in the Semi Finals (like in real life) but I unfortunately lost 2-0. I have now started a new one with England and am currently cruising throught Qualifiying.

I also managed to play Tony Hawk's American Wasteland which I hadn't played for a long time. It was fun to go through the game again but it really is dissapointing to see how quickly I completed it. But it was still fun.

I also played WWE Smackdown! vs RAW with my little brother. We decided to have a Hardcore match and we did something a little different. The Square button means that it takes you to a random superstar so we decided to try that and play with whoever we got. But the rules were that they were not allowed to be CAW, Divas or Legends. He got Charlie Haas and just to show how much the random thing can suck I got Steven Richards. I ended up winning the match easily because the L2 button on his controller got jammed which ment that he couldn't reverse any of my strikes.

In other news around the place - WWE Vengeance was today and I didn't order it because I don't order the PPV's very often. I normally just get the big 4 (Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series and WrestleMania). I probably won't be getting Summerslam this year unless there is some great match announced that I want to see.

Anyway back on with the Vengeance thing.

WWE's Randy Orton defeated "ECW's" Kurt Angle after delivering an RKO. No surprise that Orton got the clean win after Angle got the win at One Night Stand.

Umaga defeated Eugene which was obvious. The Umaga character is not really going over with me. I would have preffered a 3 Minute Warning reunion with Rosey.

Ric Flair defeated Mick Foley in a 2 out of 3 Falls match which was again no surprise because it was in Flair's hometown of Charlotte, NC.

Johnny Nitro won the Intercontinental Title in a Triple Threat match against Shelton Benjamin and Carlito. I was very surprised at this result because I thought it was between either Benjamin or Carlito.

Rob Van Dam defeated Edge to retain the WWE Championship. Damb It!!! I was hoping Edge would get the Championship back and get a decent run because he didn't deserve to lose the title so soon after winning it. Damb you John Cena!

"Fake" Kane defeated Kane. Who cares.

Cena beat Sabu in an Extreme Luberjack match. Of course he was going to win.

DX beat the Spirit Squad. SUCK IT!!!!!
