I have to agree with others who say this doesn't quite add up. 1. Blu-rays are incredibly difficult to scratch. 2. When you insert a disc, its held from the sides, meaning the only thing to scratch it would be when you first insert the disk, which reverts back to 1 in that something would have to forcefully scratch it.
The second issue is that Sony has already given you two games which is probably over 100 bucks, so its not as if they are refusing to fix your PS3 because they are cheap or don't care. They have shown the opposite.
The last issue I have with this story is that its not as if this happened over night. You have a year to bring it back if you have issues with it, so your implying that the PS3 just randomly started scratching scratch-proof discs after the warranty was up and now you have no way to fix it but threaten a fortune 500 company?
So since this isn't really a known issue (that I have even heard of), I'm going to go ahead and side with the Sony manger and politley assume you are willingly blowing this out of porportion and repeatedly diverting responsibility in the wrong direction. (I.E. you're trolling Sony.)

This problem does exist and if you do a search on google, there have been people who complained about it. If they did want to fix my console, they would have done it the first time and wouldn't have had made me send it back and forth for over 3 months. My console is still under warrenty for 2 MORE MONTHS and if you paid attention to my OP, I stated that it happened 7 months after my purchase. People like you are just ignorant if you do not believe your fellow man. Blurays can be scratched, they are just more resistant than dvds. My Ninja Gaiden Sigma disc was slightly scratched from the Ps3.
