Thanks a lot!

Just a Notice

Our current plan is to do blogs every day, and have a new video every week on www.livinginpixels.com, so make sure you keep an eye on it. Thanks.

As for the RRW scoreboard, you'll have to wait a bit longer, as people seem like they're still getting their roll calls in, so keep them coming if you have them.

Thanks guys, and have a good E3.

RRW Day 1

So i popped in Illusion of Gaia (SNES) today to kick off RRW.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with this one. I remember playing this game long ago when the SNES was the hot thing on the market and absolutely loving it. I haven't played through it since, and let's just say... it hasn't aged with me very well. The story and dialog feels highly cheesy, and it basically disconnects me from immersion. I think this might have to do with the fact that I've already seen the pinnacle of SNES storylines (IMO, of course) with Chrono Trigger. The general gameplay within isn't too bad, but it isn't very exciting either... not as exciting as I once remembered anyhow.

Bit of a kick to the pants, since one of my RRW goals was to finally go through and finish this game again, but I'm thinking that's not exactly going to come to pass after that play session. Oh well. Not all nostalgic memories hold up, I guess.

What am I on to next for RRW? Well, hopefully I can accomplish one of my other goals I set for myself at the beginning of the week. I want to finally be able to complete this here game:

Adventure Island (NES)

I've never done it because it's one of those games where you if you get touched but once, you die, and it also sports only 3 lives without any continues at all. It's going to be a tough one to complete, but I'm hopeful.

Peace everyone, and have a great rest of day one.
