The rules for this list are as follows:
It has to be multiplayer, durr.
One game from each franchise only.
I must still be able to have fun with it today.
...and well that's it
I will release 5 from the list every day, so here are the first five!
20. F.E.A.R.
This was not originally a game I was expecting to like. One day, I noticed that they released the multiplayer component of the game for free, so I decided to check it out, and well.. I had a total blast. In fact, I picked up a retail copy that same day so I could check out the campaign.
The thing that stood out about the multiplayer the most for me in this game was the melee combat. The fact that you can do bicycle kicks, slide kicks, roundhouse kicks, punches, and combinations of them... to a degree of success among gunfights, is pretty awesome. Melee attacks are usually one hit kills, so you better do some quick shootin' once you see my flying around the corner kicking in your face. I also really enjoyed the level settings, being inside office buildings, cafeterias, and factories was pretty nice, since they paid a nice attention to detail.
19. Wii Sports
I originally only mildly liked this game, until recently when I got to play this game with other people. Playing a game that even my mom will play with me, is quite unusual. Having a 2 on 2 team match, in bowling was probably the highlight for me. So much fun and rivalry that everyone, even non gamers can get into. There are other games on there besides bowling too, such as the tennis and boxing that I personally have a lot of fun with. Gives you a good workout, and healthy for you, too.
18. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Often times, this game revolves around me dying every 2 centimeters I walk. When I get into my groove though, it can not be denied how incredibly fun this game can be. It is incredibly gratifying to be able to call in a helicopter to do your bidding. When you get on a team with your friends, all using good communication, it doesn't even matter if you lose, you're going to probably have a blast. My favorite level is Vacant because I clean up on that one (usually!)
17. Ikaruga
I hadn't had a chance to play this one multiplayer until the Xbox Live Arcade release, and boy is it fun. Working in unison to take out the challenges and bosses can be pretty tricky, but when you pull it off, it puts a huge smile on your face. It can also be a bit tricky to not bump your teammate into a hazard, since some of the environments are relatively tightly packed. The game is tough as nails, but with enough playtime, you can unlock freeplay, which will allow you to just play for fun or to practice up for another go at making the leaderboards and show off your skill to others.
16. WCW Vs. NWO Revenge
You're looking at an entire wasted summer here. My friend and I must have rented this game so many times that we should have owned the copy of it. My favorite wrestlers in this game were these ones I'd never heard of (perhaps made up). My friend used a guy named Dr. Frank, and would always put me in these ridiculous submission holds, and I was always the nimble "trickster" type fighters like Han Zo Man. Immense amounts of fun that I have no doubt would be a blast if I played it at this moment.
Look for #15-11 tomorrow.

Tomorrow's the big day!

I get my 360 back tomorrow, yaaay!
The only crappy part is they called and said they will be delivering it between 8am-7pm and it must be signed for. Could they give a broader time frame? What if a person had to work?
Anyway, the long wait is almost over, and I can't WAIT to play some actual games!
:D

.
Rented them tonight at blockbuster. Initial Impressions:
Galaxy - Playtime: About 2 hours
Thoughts: Really awesome. Don't see this game being heavy on the replay value, but I see it as being a really fun experience the first time through. Plan to beat it ASAP.
Brawl - Playtime: About 15 minutes
Thoughts: Can't say I was enjoying it very much. The controls seemed awkward with any of the wiimote or wiimote and nunchuk control schemes. Besides that, I didn't think the gameplay was all that fun... I'll give it more time though.
I don't know how long the games will be at my house, since it's a 99 cents a day deal, but I told my brother to at least let me keep galaxy a couple of days so I could finish it. I'm 9 stars in.
Later.
