What's with the community on COD4?

I haven't played this game for a few months, but I never thought coming back would be THIS hard.

Why is it that I can't even walk 2 feet from my spawn without dying a lot of times, or I get nailed from an across the world grenade?

Why is it that there are so many elitist jerks (complaining I got to level 55 and didn't prestige) and people making my ears bleed (thank GOD for the volume control)?

Why do I constantly see RIDICULOUS business in the kill cams, like a dude who just killed someone do a 90 degree turn and look at a 2nd floor window i'm in (not firing) and nail me with 1 shot instantly?

One example of the ridiculousness was yesterday on Vacant. It was that every second death thing, along with airstrikes and helicopters, and getting spawned outside EVERY TIME with campers killing you as well over and over. I went 11-26, half of my kills coming from lucky martyrdom kills.

Jeez. I know I'm out of practice, but this is ridiculous. Are they on crack?

400 points WELL spent.

I was advised by my good buddy Talor to try out Assault Heroes on the Xbox Live arcade. I thought the demo was quite good, and for a mere 400 points, I said "Why not?"

Wow, this game is really fun, and with full game Xbox Live coop? Count me in. It's sorta like Smash TV with vehicles and huge boss fights. Well, I love Smash TV, so there's a good enough reason for me to enjoy this one. We beat it together tonight, and I'd say it is an absolute must own for all Xbox 360 Arcade afficionados. I'd score it a 9.5/10.

400 points remain. Hmm...

1) Streets of Rage 2
2) Small Arms
3) Smash TV
4) Bunch of Street Fighter Gamer Picture Packs (I'm a HUGE SF fan.)

I'm going to make my decision probably tonight, so we shall see.

EDIT: I bought Small Arms. I know it's a poor man's Smash Bros. wannabe, but it's kinda cool to just mess around in. I think it's pretty fun.

800 points burning a hole in my pocket.

So, I recently received a 1600 MS points card. I already spent half of it, and am wondering... what am I to do with the remaining 800 points?

Here is what I've been brainstorming:

1) Save the points for the inevitable Vegas 2 map pack, since I do ever so much enjoy that game. My gripes with this option comes in two flavors though; When will it be released, and do I really want them? I mean, 99% of the time, I play on Villa, which in my opinion is one of the best maps ever created, with no signs of getting tired of it. But what if that map pack contains an ever BETTER map! :O

2) Buy an Xbox Live Arcade game (or two cheap ones). I'm not really sure what to get, as I own most of the ones I'm interested in. You can check my games page to see what I have and feel free to suggest me some, as it may help me choose.

3) Buy the rest of the Andy Milonakis Season 3 episodes on the marketplace, as I love that show, and they never released season 3 on DVD.

4) Rest on it for a while (I'm really impatient though..)

HELP GAMESPOT!

Ok, I take that back.

Don't get GameFly.

Why? Well, when I first got them, I had an open slot the exact day that a new release came out, and apparently, you have no trouble getting games in that case. This led me to believe that GameFly was great, and that you can get any games you want without trouble. Wrong.

GameFly has an inventory level listed next to each game in your Q varying between very low and high. You'd think for the most part, a game listed as high availability would get shipped to you, right? Nope. Last time I had 3 games listed at the top of it, all at high, and nope, I got the one listed below those. This wasn't even as bad as today, when I was sent the game listed 6th in my que, under various high availability games, Assassin's Creed. Not to say I didn't want to try the game, but how hard is to to send me games that came out last year or earlier?

Bottom line, I should have went through with the cancelling I was attempting earlier in the month, but GameFly suckered me in by offering me another month at $9.95. Yay. Another month of not getting the games I want. What a joke.

I haven't done rentals in a long while, but this is why they suck. Stay away.

Seeing Red

After putting days of my life into Vegas 2 (playtime hours wise), I'm finally looking pretty sweet. Check out what my character looks like right now (sorry for the quality, it was the best I could do taking a blind picture with my webcam):

They make sure they really make you play, by making the crimson (and the still unattained by me red camo) far up in the ranks so you have to play your butt off to unlock them. So now, I'm all decked out in my favorite color combo of red and black. I also decided to give myself a makeshift cybernetic arm by only plating my gun arm, hehe.

I can only imagine what my rank would be if I could add on all the experience I gained with my dummy trial account I was using (and when I rented it on PS3), hehe. I'm first lieutenant for anyone who wants to know. I've managed to bypass everyone I know (I think), even those who got the game a while before me, so yaaay. :)

So addicting. I sit down and play, and 5-6 hours just disappear. My mode of choice? Team Leader on the map Villa. Villa exclusively, but I will play other maps. I do enjoy Team Deathmatch as well, but Team Leader is really fun, and you gain a lot of experience for playing it.

Oh, and I'd also like to give a shout out to SkoneLL for playing with me the last couple of days, had fun dude.

Later all.

Here's the reason why I can't get anything done:

What the crap. I'm so addicted to this game, I sit down to play and 6-8 hours later I realize I should probably go eat/do other things...

I recieved a copy of Full Auto 2 from GameFly today (yes, I loved the demo, sue me), but I haven't even opened the mailer due to having absolutely no interest in playing any games OTHER than Vegas 2 right now.

Consumed.
