So people are comparing Metroid to Halo?

IMO, there's no competition; Halo is the better. Well, from what I can tell so far. Halo 1 was better than MP1 and Halo 2 was better than MP2.

I just find the Metroid games to be boring, and I doubt Corruption will make me change my opinion, or will be better than Halo 3. But hey, you never know, only time will tell :)

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]I think it would fail in amazing fashion and with two horrible showings in the last three console versions of Zelda it would slow the franchise for the next decade.nmhwii9791

what the heck was wrong with TP?! Wind Waker was even better, an incredible game!

Yeah, gotta agree. Wind Waker was awesome, I thought it was WAY better than Majora's mask IMO, and whilst I agree Twilight Princess wasn't the best Zelda, it was still pretty damn amazing.

okay i know what you are talking about with the problems, but seriously im talking about Mario Party, Strikers, Smash Bros, its all about coming out with new and inventive ways to play games, consider it, not even above a Nine Point O for the New Zelda, what the is that about, and paper mario, it is all begining to create new and inventive ways to imerse yourself into the new gen, its about fun and being able to play games with more than just yourself, its about creative ways to entertain not just yourself at a time, but your friends as well, you might as well be a loner and pick up an expensive paper weight, A.K.A. the PS3 good luck with that..... ha diemjoker4

Zelda didn't deserve a 9.0, it deserved what it got.  And I don't just want to play multiplayer games on my Wii.  Paper Mario is the single player game I want right now, but it isn't out in the UK yet.  But I do have all the big multiplayer games (Warioware, Rayman etc), and the thrill of playing them has gone.  All of the next big games are quite a ways off, I don't think anyone's sure of the Brawl release date, or of the Galaxy release, only that they're gonna be in 2007.

And yeah, the PS3 may be expensive, and it may be a paper-weight in your eyes, but it's getting some games (and has some games) that I really wanna play.  For example, MGS4, Final Fantasy XIII are coming for it, and Resistance and Motorstorm both look pretty cool.

I used to be just like you; a complete and utter fanboy, but then I looked at the current selection of games the Wii has and the selection for the PS3 and Xbox 360...There's so many great games coming out that you'd be a fool to even think about missing out on them!

And in all complete honesty, I had way more fun with Gears of War on the 360 than I did with Zelda on the Wii.  Gamespot can score their games whatever the hell they want.  If you don't like it, don't read Gamespot's reviews, go to IGN.  Or even better, create your own game site.  Review games how YOU want them to be reviewed.  Or just write your own reviews, whatever, I don't really care.

Oh, and one more thing....Mario Strikers is a brilliant game, but in no way, shape or form is it inventive...The only real thing the Wii Remote's motion sensing controls are used for is to hit other players and to block balls during those Supershot thingy sequences.  Still, brilliant game though.

I would rather it just be "Rayman", than another party game.OGTiago

Gotta agree with you and anyone else who thinks along the same lines.  RRR are was good, no doubt, but at the same time I wanna see a REAL Rayman game come out, not jsut another mini game compilation.

Owned noob alert?  That's a little harsh, all seivohc did was get confused between the symbol and an '8', which are both very similar anyway.

Oh dear.

I smell another failed game-to-movie adaptation.

I agreee, my Wii hasn't even been turned on in MONTHS.  I've got quite a few games, but the last game for the Wii I really wanted was Sonic and The Secret Rings, and that wasn't as mind blowing as I thought it'd be.

I bought a 360 to keep me going until games like Brawl and Galaxy are released (Metroid is far too boring; I had to force myself to play Metroid Prime 2 and then gave up).  Nintendo NEED to start getting titles out more quickly, and we need some AAA titles.  Zelda was good, but not as good as Wind Waker.  Sonic and the Secret Rings was good as well, Red Steel was cool, but Call of Duty 3 was practically unplayable at times.

They also need to get a decent online going, and FAST.  Having to send friend codes out to everyone is not cool, and is just more of a pain in the ass.  If Metroid is online, I may well pick it up as I love online FPS', the same applies to Brawl (although I'd be picking it up anyway, online would be one hell of a bonus).

The PS3 and the 360 has solid games like Metal Gears Solid 4, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Final Fantasy 13 and more coming out.  However, the most exciting thing Wii owners are getting aren't Nintendo's titles IMO, but games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.  I genuinly can't see games like Project H.A.M.M.E.R or Day of Crisis being AAA titles, and, while I truly hate to admit it and will go place my finger tips in bleach after this, I don't think NiGHTS will be either (Sega's games haven't been too great lately)

But hey, I may be made to eat my words.  Some of the new games that are coming out may be better than GeOW.  In fact I truly hope that I WILL be made to eat my words, as I love Nintendo and don't to see the Wii turned into a family console only, and in all honesty yes, the Wii does have some hardcore games coming out like Dragon Quest, but these games are going to take their time, so it may be too little, too late.
