Those laws are there for a reason.

You honestly think your the first 16 year old to think they know what they are doing? No offence, but a majority of 16 year olds dont, and the law is there to ensure older people do not take advantage of kids who are not fully aware of the consequences of their actions yet.

There cannot be a double standard, as much as you may not like it. The age of consent is 18.

Personally? If you actually care about your girlfriend? I would put a hold on your relationship until you are both old enough. From the sounds of it, your girlfriend is very close to getting in serious trouble.

Make sure to not have sex.

Make sure to run, but not upstairs.

Avoid all ironic statements like: "Is anyone there?" or "I think we're finally safe now!"

Make sure to stay together as a group. Power in numbers and all that jazz.

Don't go into any poorly lit room, as curious as you may be.

[QUOTE="warbmxjohn"][QUOTE="jimmyjammer69"] "Not only is marijuana a safe drug with medical benefits but it could rapidly stimulate our failing economy...." From that sentence, he goes on to write 3 paragraphs on the economic benefits of legalising cannabis.jimmyjammer69

Rapidly stimulate =/= Solve.

I'm not getting into semantics. Personally, I've heard all the arguments a million times, often expressed better in these forums than in that essay. It's a one-sided text, whose aim is just to knock down every possible criticism of cannabis and its users. If pro-legalisationists weren't so often blindly zealous, it would be much easier to take them seriously.

And if anti-legalisationists weren't so often blindly close minded, it would be much easier to have an actual discussion.

All of this is hypocritial as hell. You want to criminalize pot? criminalize cigarettes and alcohol too. If you wont? Legalize pot. I have NEVER seen a valid point thatsmoking weed should be a criminal offense.

People are afraid of it. Simple as that. The fear is not justified. If you are scared of the effects of weed? You need to also be afraid of cigarettes and alcohol.

Grey Street - Dave Matthews Band.

I've always loved the lyrics of DMB, and this song in particular is close to my heart. I always think when I listen to it how unfair it is for another artist to express my emotions so perfectly in a song.

28 days later is the only older move that pops into my mind.

The only movie that has genuinely scared me, in a VERY long time, was Quarantine. The camera work was absolutely genius, and the acting was so... raw, it was terrifying.

An alternative to second life?

....... An actual life? ;)

TBH Sony's HOME is honestly the only thing I can think of that is very similar to Second Life. Perhaps she should look into some Free-To-Play MMO's. They are not as in-depth as SL, but at least she can interact with others online.
